I'll be praying for all the above prayer requests! Kinda tired right now, but want to thank each person who has been praying for my sister & BIL---the money thing is bad, but not as important as God using this situation, which is exactly what He is doing!!! (My sister has had tremendous encouragement from all your prayers. She shared with me that my BIL isn't really a believer anymore--he's 3rd gen. SDA) So she reached out for support. They will get a small part back of what they lost monetarily, but she has opened up to me and I have been able to really witness to her. I loaned her "White-Out" and she read it and asked to keep it longer. She is still traumatized from hearing all the terrifying Great Controversy stuff about being jailed and killed by Sunday- keeping Christians, so it was imperative she read a well researched book letting her know that stuff is false!! God has used a really bad situation to begin bringing her out of false beliefs!! Praise Him forever! Sometime I will share with you all about a time that she was scared to death (re EGW stuff) as a child. (If you met her, you would never know this about her--so we never know what burdens other people are carrying!) Thank you guys again...your prayers and support mean SO much to me...

I need a few more prayers, which are also a witness to my youngest son. He & my DIL need prayer for senior projects, an exam for Friday and for positive results from graduate school applications (for my DIL).(If they are not positive responses, they both need the grace to accept and deal with it.) I just spoke to him--they have had that flu which put them a little behind & need some help from God re; school stress. My son isn't really a believer (I will not give up praying for his salvation) and his wife is Russian orthodox, but isn't practising. He has had some bad stuff in his life and seems wary of God, but I know God will get hold of him someday! So, he accepted when I asked if I could have some internet friends pray for them. Thank you very much!

Adding your BIL ot my list Diana

I have 2 prayer requests The first is for my sister Jackie. Since the death of her son she has been surrounded by family--many of which are SDA and are giving her literature. I have sat down with her to show the errors in the SDA writing but though she says she is open to the gospel and coming to church with me she has said that she will at least read the SDA literature because and I quote " I have to go with what I know for now" Please pray that she will either be blocked from errors and will follow the true Light and not the "lesser light"

My second request if for a lady name Trina and her husband who is a former SDA. They reached out to me on FB (she is a Christian and he is in transition) He is having a hard time blocking out/unlearning the tapes he learned as an SDA. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will guide him all the way into the truth of the gospel

Enoch,
I am also praying for your sister as she is still raw and weak from the loss of her son and this is just how the sda's like them so as to rein them back in. See if you can find a copy of Foodprints In The Sand to give her if she does not already have one.
I am also praying for Trina and her husband that God will continue to show them the right way out of the maze that the sda church uses to keep people and into the bright sunshine of rejoicing in Jesus love for us.

Nowisee,
I am also praying for your son and DIL that God will touch their hearts and they will listen.

To Sondra and Believer 247 I am also sending prayers up for both of you.

Enoch--Praying for your sister. Adventism entered my mother's family right after her grandfather was murdered in 1903 and her grandmother was left with 4 little children and no money. So I agree with the idea that it can prey on vulnerability. Thank you, Gail & all others praying for my son & DIL--thank you...Could you all pray for me, to have courage and guidance in a situation I'm going thru--alot of bad family dynamics in the background, throw in EGW's damaging statements, etc. I just need alot of hope and courage right now--this has beaten me down most days (Yesterday was good--church, praise and fellowship!) and I am going to see part of my family today--please pray that God will help me. I am not very courageous right now. I know you guys understand--right now I am at the point where I kind of don't know if I can handle all of this today & tomorrow. I am glad that when we are weak, He is strong. PS I have been having periods where I am so angry at EGW for all the damage she has done to God's children, ripping families apart...read Jeremiah 23--I can praise God and say that He gave me this chapter the other day when I was going thru the EGW thing and all the crazy-making mind games of the church. It helped me so much to read what God has to say about false prophets. I have to go with what God says, no matter how much it hurts to go thru this.

Nowisee, Jeremiah 23 is powerful. God gave it to you. He asks us to stand confidently and with His own authority in the truth that we know. He does not ask us to mince words and pretend with those who are in darkness.

Love and kindness do not equal naivete and pretending everything's OK. We are to KNOW when something is false and untrue, and we are not to pretend it's OK. I am often confronted with people's remarks that Jesus didn't affront people, but He dealt lovingly with those who needed to know the truth.

And I want to say back, Jesus was blatantly confronting with the teachers of false doctrine. He was loving and gentle yet direct and hope-giving with those who walked in darkness and deceit, but those who refused to know truth, who persisted in endorsing their own internal beliefs and false doctrines--He was blatant. Read Matthew 23 and His "seven woes" if you doubt it!

God asks us to walk with our eyes open and to trust Him as we so walk. He will give us His words, and He will redeem everything we submit to Him. He is with you, Nowisee.

Praying,
Colleen

Nowisee, you most definitly have my prayers and I completely relate to the anger at EGW. I am past it now but I was very angry. I had to keep doing a 1 Peter 5:7 and keep casting it on Jesus and also learning to not be angry for myself but for the damage she has done to God's kingdom.

It's all a part of the healing process and we know what a great Healer we have in Jesus

Enoch
