Paul, over on another thread is wondering how God reveals himself in our personal lives. So, I would like to add to the story of what happened to me last night and show how God revealed himself to me.

First, in spite of the circumstances of how I could not have avoided the deer hitting the car, I came away totally unscathed, physically that is.

I was traveling on a busy two land highway during peak commute time, in the dark and rain and passing through a major, about 400 yard long, cut where there was no possibility of leaving my lane. As near as I can figure, the deer must have come down from the opposite side slope, crossed the highway and impacted my car at full gallop. Parts of the deer flew all around and on both sides of the highway, yet no other car was involved. In spite of the fact that I came to a sudden stop I did not get rear ended.

With the front of the car smashed right against the engine I was able to drive the car home. There are no fluids leaking anywhere out of the car, which doesn’t seem possible.

Now, here is the real amazing thing: There were numerous bags of groceries in the back seat that should have been scatter all over from the impact. Nothing moved and the fragile items were perfectly safe. When I went to remove the grocery bags I just stared at them in absolute amazement. How was that possible?

My next door neighbor knew of a Christian friend whose son had just the car I needed for sale. The son’s father brought it over, I bought it, and it is insured and in my name and parked in my driveway. All this on my normal day off. I work tomorrow and I have a way to work.
I ask you, didn’t God reveal himself to me?

I am praising the LORD because usually because usually every Sunday is a struggle to get my kids out of the house. My wife, who is not a Christian usually lets the kids dilly dally while I'm trying to get them out or in some way sabatoges our departure but this time she HELPED.

I cannot tell you how big of a change this is

Just have to tell all of you that I have been working at the hospital again 1-3 hours Mon through Fri. I have been doing this for the past week and it will continue until I leave for Florida. I do not know how long this will last, but I am very thankful. Thanks for all the prayers. Please, keep the prayers coming. God takes care of me one day at a time. He has even taught me to be thankful in ALL things. He is so awesome.

Oh, Diana, that is such good news! Thank God for watching over you and bringing you work! Awesome! And thank you, Phil and Enoch for posting your positive experiences--it really helps encourage us all as we watch God work and know He is absolutely real. Unbelievable, Phil, about the groceries! What an incredible detail to build our faith that God does care about the practical areas of our lives.

I am sending praises up to God for all of you and thanking him for being a part of our lives.

Phil, a few months back my husband hit a deer square on and the only thing that keep if from coming through the windshield was that he had a tow bar on the front and it took the legs out from under her.
I praised God for finding you a car the next day so you would not have to take a day off for finding a car.
How is Jan? I am praying for her to stay well.

Enoch, I praise God for touching your wifes heart and helping you get the children ready to go to church. How old are your children?

Diana, I am so happy for you to be back at work and I am asking God to hold your job open for you when you return from Fl. Go and have a good time.
