I'm negotiating a deal to sell a rental property and I need your prayer support. I've tried with an agent for 5 months with no luck. After the agreement was up, I decided not to renew, but instead I prayed to God to give me the wisdom and skill to sell the property myself. I showed the house 4 times last week and after an hour of talking with the last person who saw it, we came to an agreement which is great for both of us and personally saves me $6K. Please pray that this person gets the financing straightened away and everything goes smooth so we're able to complete the transaction.

I think this is just the first step towards bigger plans that God has for my family. I'll share more...

George, praying for you now.

I agree with Nowisee...we need prayer for the FAF weekend, for protection and blessing for all the presenters and helpers, for those attending, and for God to impress the local Christian pastors and others to attend Friday's meeting.

I'm still in negotiations for this deal I mentioned above. I pray for direction, today in particular as we're finalizing some numbers before this goes into the hands of lawyers. My last negotiations could "make it or break it". I would appreciate your prayers.

Really struggling with the sabbath issue. My wife is a dedicated SDA and I am not. Much conflict here about all this. Not sure which way to go. Still do not fully understand the Sabbath issue, after all it is part of the 10 commandments. Please pray for the holy spirit to show me the way. Lots of things really coming down on me. Please pray for me. Very Very discouraged.

Oh, Sparkey6462--I am praying right now for you.

I'm glad you're here. There are a lot of prayer warriors here, and people who will lift you up and support you as you go through all that you're going through.

God is faithful Sparkey6462. No matter what, He's got you! What you're going through is no surprise to Him. He's not only with you in the present, but He's already in the future. None of this is a surprise to Him. He's already working this out for your good--however that looks! Our job is to just trust His providence in our lives and know He's got our best interest at heart, even if it's not what we think is our best interest.

Regarding the Sabbath issue, have you read any of Dale's books, like "Sabbath in Christ"? I'll be praying for both you and your wife about this too.

Don't be discouraged. God is there, and He hears your cries and feels your heart. "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." Ps 91:14, 15

God is rescuing you and delivering you even if it doesn't feel like it right now. The only Truth we have is God's truth--you can totally trust His promises.

Blessings,
Grace

Sparkey, I'm glad you're here. You've come to a place where others understand the nature of your struggle.

God does not trick us; He is faithful, and He brings us to Himself. I'm going to post a couple of links below that might be helpful to you re: the Sabbath issue:

http://www.lifeassuranceministries.org/studies/sealofgod.html

http://www.lifeassuranceministries.org/studies/sabbath/index.html

http://lifeassuranceministries.org/Proclamation2005_MayJun.pdf

The third link is to a Proclamation magazine; the cover article on the covenants is very helpful. The first two links are studies on the Sabbath that are thoughtful and Scripture-based.

God's power is made perfect in our weakness. He is with you.

Sparkey,
I add my prayers to the others. You are going through a very difficult time. I simply want to encourage you, He IS faithful and will see you through.

You asked about Sabbath. I had only one more thought to add to the others ... something I did when studying the commandments and the Sabbath and the New and Old Covenant.

I pulled out a blank sheet of paper and drew a line down the middle. One side of the line was for the Old Covenant which included the 10 commandments/law and the other side was the New Covenant/Spirit. Then I went through the following scriptures and put phrases and words that described each into the correct column. Also, I asked God to show me the truth of it all ...

(2 Cor. 3,4; Gal. 4:21-5; Heb. 3,4,8,9; Rom. 3,4,6,8)

Yep, a lot of reading - but, Oh, so sweet.

Praying,
Keri

Please, requesting prayer for my 4 mo grandaughter who was taken to ER last night with RSV--a respiratory virus that could end her up in the hospital if she gets worse--young babies if they get worse at home need to be put on oxygen & IVs (to keep hydrated). Hopefully she won't need this, but her mom, who is very strong, was crying on the phone right now and I asked if it was OK for me to ask for prayer from all of you. It's a common virus, but apparently more serious if baby is under a year old. The baby's name is Emily--parents are Charlotte (my DIL) and Jeremy. Thank you in advance...

Please, I'm asking for your prayers for Celebration Center in Redlands. I've not been actively involved there for a long time but I have many friends still there.

It appears over the past weeks there has been an "upheaval" at the church and Pastor Steve has either been removed/or removed himself from the situation. (it depends on which side of the coin you are looking at.}

My prayer request is for those who God has been guiding and gently leading into a fuller understanding of the Gospel and the freedom that we have in Christ. God has been working with many there and the Holy Spirit is touching the hearts of many.

I pray that all involved will keep their eyes on Christ and Christ alone. If we take our eyes off of Christ and look to our own way we will stumble. Some are so new in what they are learning and experiencing they could easily fall away and revert to the "old gospel".

My sense is that there were members who felt Pastor Steve had gone to far in what he was preaching and were/are resisting the direction that Pastor Steve felt the Holy Spirit was directing the church.

Richard

Praying for Emily, Nowisee. And praying for the people at Celebration Center to be brought to clearly see the truth.
