JudeóI absolutely love your book idea. What a powerful (set of) book(s) that could be! Let's seriously discuss this. H-m-m-mówhat color should the bindings be?

BTW, Lynn, when I get a little time off from school (that might not be until spring vacation) I'm going to download your emailed studies and we'll transfer them over to your page under Bible Studies on this site. Thanks for your amazing body of work!

Colleen, Thanks heaps. I just got a request to send the whole thing to someone via e-mail so she can send it to someone else. I also gave away another Adventist expose' video yesterday for someone to share with her pastor. That excites me to know that people are sharing these things with their friends, Adventist or otherwise, they all need to be educated.

I've done the contrasts in the Conflict series. I'd like to do more, but if a few people each chose a different book, they could each be submitted and it would get done sooner. Each article would carry the name of the one who submitted it. That section might even be enough for a separate booklet in the series.

I've also done much writing contrasting what the Bible says about the sabbath/law with EGW/Adventist authors. It goes chronologically through the Bible from Genesis to Exodus covering each passage as I come to it. I had this entire series done at one time, but I'll have to find my notes & retype them. If others submit their articles, they could then be arranged in a logical order or integrated together listing the names of the contributors. Jude, of course, would have to do the editing so he can touch it up with his unique flair for writing.

I've also done a section on various doctrines including an extended section on the investigative judgment. Each doctrine can be expanded covering as much of what EGW wrote on the subject as seems reasonable. We could expand the sections on diet, dress codes, etc. Perhaps those with EGW complete works on computer could each chose a subject, research it, and then submit their article.

So what I'm seeing is, one book on the sabbath/law, one book on the contrasts of EGW to scripture, one book on doctrines, and at least one with the testimonies. As more material is submitted, more books can be added. And, of course, we'd have to include a list of web-sites, and perhaps a list on practical suggestions on how to get the word out.

WDYT?

BTW, can we start a collection of verses which tell us not to sit idly by tolerating false doctrines. That seems to be a major objection by the uniformed.
"We shouldn't criticized other people's religions." "Jesus just taught us to love one another." "Why don't you ex-Adventists just forget it & get on with your lives?" "We must be more tolerant."
You've heard the objections. But John the baptist, and the OT prophets weren't so tolerant. And it's not love to allow people to continue in the sin of rejecting the salvation Jesus offered.

We could put it in a section in each of the booklets. Also, I could use a few verses to keep handy for myself.

Hi guys and gals,

I would love to contribute to this project, but it appears that maybe I wouldn't qualify for the first book as I haven't had any theological differences with any SDA officials. Besides that, we were radical type off shoots of the SDA. Besides, I'm not very well versed in the Bible, YET!

If any of you think I have anything of value for this first book let me know and I'll get after it.

Great idea, let's get it on!!........Maryann

Maryann, do you have any EGW books? As you get better versed in the Bible and in Ellen White, believe me, you WILL have theological differences. Then pick a subject, research it, & write on it.
If it's possible for you to get EGW on computer, that helps. If not, there are plenty of Adventist web-sites with her books on them.

I think a first step would be to write a short article explaining the essense of the gospel and how it defers from adventism, such as explaining how the whole law was nailed to the cross not just the ceremonial as SDA's beleive. Explaining how Christ was the fulfillment of the law including the sabbath and why we can now that we are saved today and not having to wait for the judgement to now if we have any unconfessed sins etc. etc.
