I was born in 1956 to a one parent family (dad skipped town) in Council Bluffs Iowa. I was raised with no religious training. When I was eleven years old, I lost my right leg in a train accident. In my early twenties I gave my heart to Christ because of T.V evangelists. I had a neighbor that seemed very religious, so I started to study with him and his family (SDA's). They soon were overwhelmed by my questions, and they passed me off to their pastor. After months of study, I was baptized after he removed one hurtle I would not jump. At first he insisted that Jesus raised himself from the grave by the power that resided in Himself. I made him study this, and the pastor decided I was correct, that the Father raised Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. That was the first pastor that I helped shake from Adventism - He is now a house painter. I went on to Union College to study theology and learn to throw water balloons (2 bad they are not possible on the net!). After two years, we parted company because the professors could not answer my ever growing questions. At first, I not only rejected Adventism, I rejected Christ. I reasoned if SDA's were correct, and I did not like the message, I must not like the messenger. I was back in the world for some twenty years. In 1998 I was again called by God to preach, but this time, SDAism did not distract me. This time, Adventism and other cults were my mission. I operate a web ministry to teach the truth about Adventism and cults. We show that Adventism is clearly a dangerous cult that should not be entered. If you are already an Adventist, we offer several choices. For people that are leaders, we show them how to operate inside the Church to change the course and direction of the denomination to direct the movement from the cultic place it holds now, to a acceptable Christian Church (a major goal!!). For people that are not called to lead, we help them find a church in their area that will help them mend the wounds of existing in, and exiting a controlling cult. Because I am vocal and out-spoken, I often draw attention to myself, when I am only trying to draw attention to the heart of the Gospel - Christ. I have made many friends and a few enemies over the past year on the net, and some of you have seen this come to fruition here on this forum page. I do apologize, as I did not want to ruin the peace you enjoy here. I did come here to quietly warn you that everything on the net is not as it seems. I will leave it to the Spirit of God to impress you if I am a Christian or a phony. I am the husband of one wife (1983), have two sponsored children from Christian Childrenís Fund, raise Harlequin Great Danes and have two Scarlet Macaws. I go to Church on Sunday night, so I won't look like a Sabbath or a Sunday keeper (guess I'm a Monday keeper - LOL). I am a business man, Jeweler, Retailer, and Federally licensed firearms dealer (I do these things to operate my real job, my self supporting ministry on the web). I am looking at starting an area Church to minister to the thousands of broken Christians that have fallen from Adventism, as Union College is in my back yard, and ex-sdaís are everywhere. Gary, as in email, the web site of http://get.to/the.truth is not functioning. The testimony was very good. I thank God for people like you, who have come out of "her". That is really something to share. I think you belong to the "power team" not those muscle boys, but the real "team" of God's power. I need to use your web site... | ||

Gary, will check out your web sites! We are all linked by the net and it is so wonderful to find sites like yours with ex-SDA's on fire to warn others...also to encourage and lead others to Christ! Thanks for letting us know about you. Why don't you start a Fellowship group in your area as building strong Christians who share similar backgrounds "quirks" is what it is all about. It is extremely hard for most former SDA's to fit into most Bible study groups and even churches. We all feel misunderstood and deep inside have issues that must be dealt with in order to grow.
