You now understand and believe the New Testament Gospel of the Grace of Jesus Christ, and you have turned your back on the confusing message of legalism that you learned from SDAs.

This being so,how is Jesus different to you now?

Even though I knew the words "Jesus is our savior," I really didn't know him as my Savior. Now I know he has saved me, and I now know he loves me and I love him. When I was an Adventist, Jesus was more of a theory; now he is real, and I know he is the source and center of my life.

Before I looked to Jesus to somehow make me good enough to be in heaven. Since He was perfect, I understood that he could make me perfect.

Now Jesus has given me the greatest gift--the absolute certainty that I am saved, because of His absolutely free gift of His perfection covering my imperfection.

I totally agree with Colleen and Richard. In addition to what they said, I might add, that now I have a personal relationship with THE living God through Jesus. I knew all the bible stories and verses growing up but I never "knew" Him. His awesome love just amazes me everyday! Also, when I realized that He is the one and ONLY way to the Father and eternal life, I had to say "yes". Isn't it great to truly belong to the kingdom of God?

I recently heard Steven Curtis Chapman on a radio interview discussing his new CD and book, ("Speechless", the CD is wonderful by the way!). He used the term "disruptive grace" in talking about his motivation for this latest work. I like that description. Yes, grace is amazing etc., but it's also a drastic change to your life when it confronts you in the face.

Jesus is different now because He is my Saviour!!! He has healed me from my sins. When I realized that I was a sinner, (in the advintist church I learned that others were the sinners, not us, because we kept the rules.) I had no place to go except to Jesus. When I was forgiven for all my sins: past, present and future I could be secure in Him and walk with my head in heavenly places. My body which was becoming diseased, was healed (diet is good but forgiveness and peace in Christ are much better) He has restored me to eternal life. He has become personal to me. From the inside out I am cleansed and filled with His Spirit. I serve Him because I love Him so much and I do not want to do anything that would bring shame to his name. If I fall I know that he loves me and will forgive me, and will help me to go on serving him in love and not in fear. He has taught me that I am a king and a priest in Him. He has given me understanding and power to walk with Him. He has given me the desire to glorify Him and to bring others unto reconciliation to Him, not just the "truth". I now have a family who understands the gospel, the good news of the Messiah. I have the peace that passes all understanding because of Him. He has given me gifts to teach and learn from others. I have a mission now. Eternal life with God!!!!! I could go on and on about my Saviour Jesus Christ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the first time in my life, what I do and what I am doesn't matter. Jesus is enough to save me, without any "works" of mine.

Ain't that a HOOT!

Thank you Thomas, what you said is the most important part. Believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved.
