I started this thread at aToday and it's one of there most popular ones today.

Did you know that EGW was the first false prophet to get stoned before she ever said a false prophecy? Go to Rev 2:18 and read about her. The Bible calls her by another name, Jezebel. Don't be afraid of the truth.

To Gary, that's hilarious. I don't know why I didn't think of that.

I went to the White Estate web site and noticed that they put quite a bit of space into answering questions regarding Ellen White in the areas that she could be misunderstood. Of course they have answers for everything. I wonder how many hoops they had to jump through to come up with some of the answers that they did. shouldn't it be a black and white issue, either she said or wrote something or she did not, but it is all disputed from the shut door to the reform dress! They spent a lot of time telling the reader what she really meant about certain issues and how it should be taken. How do they happen to know what she meant! I have found most Adventist's don't have a clue there is anything even questionable about Ellen White..

Here is a quote from Ellen White herself in Testimonies for the Church Vol. 1, pg 581.

"I had no separate interest aside from the work. I had invested everything in this cause, and had considered no sacrifice too great for me to make in order to advance it. I had not allowed affection for my loved babes to hold me back from performing my duty as god required it in his cause. Maternal love throbbed just as strongly in my heart as in the heart of any mother that lived, yet I had separated from my nursing children and allowed another to act the part of mother to them. I had given unmistakable evidence of my interest in, and devotion to, the cause of God. I have shown by my works how dear it was to me. Could any produce stronger proof than myself? Were they zealous in the cause of truth? I more. Were they devoted to it? I could prove greater devotion than anyone living engaged in the work. Had they suffered for the truth's sake? I more."

Jesus say's in Matt 16:6, "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees." The only other time I saw this many I's in the scripture was Isaiah 14:13-15.
