Just wanted to let everyone know that on line there is a used book store called "Kregel.com" where you can purchase books on line. I purchased "St Paul's Commentary on Galatians by Martin Luther" several years ago.. I see they do have "Martin Luthers Commentary on Galatians" . The book I am reading is based on a course of lectures which he delivered in 1531 at the University of Wittenberg, where for over thirty years he was Professor of biblical Exegesis.

Actually Martin Luther did not write this book, but, but he did contribute a preface to it, in which he acknowledes that it truly represents his thought.

Actually there were 41 lectures in all that covered a period from July 3rd, through December 12th, 1531. This commentary is owed to Luthers friends and admirers who were busy with their pencils while they listened to him in classroom or in church.

"The original edition of the Commentary-in Latin like the lectures on which it was based-was prepared for the press by George Rorer, one of Luthers's most assidious and reliable reporters,w ith some assistance from Veit Dietrich and more from Caspar Cruciger. All three had attended the lectures in 1531 and Rorer, at any rate, had taken very full notes on the whole course."

This book has truly been a blessng to me and I would advise anyone seeking to know the truth of the Reformation "Righteousness by Faith" to read this book.

You are right, Rayna.
I think that this book represents Luther at his best. It is also available online in very readable English at this URL:
