Mines are:
1) Jesus Didn't know who was going to be saved into the kingdom.
2) We are on probation.
3) We are all evolutionists.
4) Jesus didn't know he was going to be raised from the dead. He had faith. and that's what saved him.
5) The government is going to torture us to death. and make us keep national sunday law.
6) The government is monitering SDA's and shooting sensors into our homes to record everysingle move we make.
and I can keep going. isn't this halarious. and the most hilarious one that I've heard. is
what this minister said.
He said that he was dancing at a party and saw demons dancing with other people. and when the demon came to give him a high five. he disappeard. HA HA HA HA HA .
Rolling all over the floor laughing in stitches.
hope to hear from you all soon.

I don't know, but this is a statement by the SDA publications and endorcements, and want to know what do the REST here think?

Reading the Review and Herald,

SEEKING HIS LOST SHEEP. a 121 pg booklet

The author describes 26 types of backsliders (Say FAFERS, are you in their EYES "backsliders?, and tells where to find names, what to say, what not to say, and how to follow up contacts.

Are they going to HUNT for you?

Here is a clip from the Review and Herald (online version).

How to Reach a Backslider When you obtain the name of a
backslider (Perhaps a FAFER),
do not give up trying to
locate him, even though the address
may be uncertain. We have inquired of
the police, the fire department, water,
electric, and gas companies, post office,
corner grocery, and telephone company in our
search for a missing person (Are you FAFERS
missing???). The dividends are rich and rewarding. If the address
is correct but the individual is not at home,
go to the neighbors to ascertain the time he
is usually home. Be as persistent as the FBI.

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and
Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land
and sea to win a single convert, and when he
becomes one, you make him twice as much a
son of hell as you are."

This reminds me of the Jws. They too are persistant although I don't believe they go to the police, fbi etc to seek us out. Ahhh well, no matter, when the sdas find me, I will gladly invite them in and encourage talk of Jesus's Death and Resurrection. Oh plus a whole lot of other things..I have alot to share with them..:)

Well, sure enough Joshua you weren't pulling anyone's leg. I went to the Url given and it is there. I would love to read the entire booklet. It just seems to me that if I can get in on all the plans they have then I can beat them to it. You know, put a sign on my back saying 'a lost sheep' or 'a backslider of one of the 26 kinds'. This would or should ensure any faithful follower of the Sda Church to follow me home. Once there I could pronounce the Gospel! Yeah..that's the ticket..oh oh, somebody stop me cause I'm supposed to be a resting from that,,I think.
Bless all,

Who can rest at such an opportunity?
I was thinking...There are plenty of telephone poles and well, this idea from yard sales came to me, I could put signs on them. You know, signs that have in big red letters "~~~~~~> This way to a lost sheep of one or more of the 26 various types"
Or how about this...I could post my 96 theses on the door of the church. On each page I could print my address and telephone number with a P.S. "I'm a lost sheep of various kinds and I need you to help me to know which variety I am"
Okay,,,still thinking. Hmmm, I know! I could buy several copies of 'Seeking His Lost Sheep' and put them in the book stands in Church. With my name and address printed on the inside cover. I could also print in it that I just may fit in one or more of these particular varieties.
Think it'll work?? Perhaps I could even draw a picture of me with a cup of coffee in my hand or that drink from China. Yeahhh..that's it!
Wait!! Oh boy, Oh boy...I'm really excited! I could make posters with my picture on the front asking "Have you seen this lost one?" NO! Billboards!! YES..okay, I know my direction now. I will do all of the above...
hmmm...me thinks nobody would care enough as I do eat meat and smoke cigs, not to mention, the use of vinegar. Oh brother, I'm in trouble. Afterall, I know only the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not the complete rundown on prophecy and to top that off, I keep thinking that the Bible is my whole and only source of Truth.
I'm a cause lost to them. But not lost...:)))) Praise the Lord!!

Jtree,

I really admire the way God is using you.
Remember that Jesus said (NIV Matthew
10:16), "I am sending you out like sheep
among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as
snakes and as innocent as doves."

Well Judus..er I mean Joshua :)
Online it seems almost impossible in most instances. However offline and in person, I am surrounded by sdas. So far, in my short walk, it's been a little easier for dialogue offline than online. But, you are right, they don't hear nor want to. It is sad. Oh those foolish Galatians! If only they understood how much Jesus cares! I care and my heart won't let that go. I keep on a trying but I'm seeing that my head is beating against brick walls.
This is a strange thing for me to care what others believe. I never did before. I suppose I'm one of those 'Jesus Freaks' huh? The time is coming though, that I have to know when to quit. I feel it happening. Seems strange and then I wonder at what I'll do after that? What purpose have I? Remember, I'm a newby and am not so weathered as some. The thought of not having a mission of sorts sets me out of whack somehow. Have I gone off the deep end?
God Bless,
Denise

Huh?? Max, is this a good thing or a bad thing? I will say this, if I'm walking on water, as you put it, why is it that many times I feel like I'm drowning? Seems many feel that I'm treading where I don't belong. What is your thought/s on this?

^^Jesus immediately said to them: "Take
courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." "Lord, if it's
you," Peter [Denise] replied, "tell me to come
to you on the water." "Come," he said.^^

Denise,
May I say that I read your story about the your recent study where you encourage the elderly woman about how God brought you both together because of your sickness. What an encourgement you must be to her and she to you! Are you treading where you don't belong? I don't think so. The pastor and his wife are. I happen to believe that God is Soverign. That nothing happens in my life that is a waste. That Even if I do make the wrong choice He will turn me and help me and cause it for good. (Joseph) He will not let anything happen to me (YOU) that He will not give us the strength to handle. Even if we come to the end of ourselves, which by the way is a good thing.

He is a Soverign God. His WORD is true. When it is time to move on He will move you. Trust Him. May He bless you today and give you peace.

Denise,
You are a real inspiration for me.
What a wonderful thing you are doing for the elderly. This couple is blessed to have you as their friend. I think you did the right thing by speaking up to them as you did (telling them you do not believe as the pastor does).
Shame on that pastor for condemming you, did he really say you were unsaved for smoking? IMO he gets this spirit of condemnation from Ellen White herself who thought to know the very heart and character of the people whom she slammed for going against her or her counsels.

God Bless you Denise and keep up the good work.

Hello Joni,
Truly I believe that our Lord put me here. For two reasons I believe this, one because I honestly believe with everything in me that our Lord is protecting me in numberous ways, He is full of love. The second reason I believe I'm here is that these people are such a blessing to me that I cannot describe how I'm being affected. It is something I've never experienced. The love these people around here show is a real blessing to behold. It's like a big family and I really am thankful to God for these people. I say these people but in all reality, they are more than friends. So it is God who blesses me through them. Isn't that wonderful?!
The fact that we all have disabilities is not a coincidence if you ask me. It certainly does keep us all in touch with each other but more importantly, we or most of us, stay close to God. Yes indeed, God is Sovereign.
So far the strength we all need seems to come out of thin air and of course the believers in this complex, know it's from God Himself..:)
As far as the pastor goes, well, yesterday my elderly lady friend informed me that she is not interested in what the pastor has to teach. She wants me to teach. She told me this after questioning me on some of their doctrines they believe but more importantly, when she found out that they do not believe that our Lord Jesus Christ's death made complete atonement for us, this she was furious with. She stated that it is not the Gospel. She also told me that she has been praying much and believes that satan tried to ruin our course. Her words, not mine.
You know, I am awestruck at the happenings.
God Bless you Joni,

Hello Cas,
I am astonished before my very eyes anymore. The Lord God is doing this, not me. Infact, everytime something new takes place, I am shocked at how our God arranged and planned all of it. As all I do is whatever seems to be in front of me but I see that in all these things that are taking place, something else happened several months ago or longer than that to make this all come about. The Lord is so complex in His plans that none of us can even guess what is next. Is that amazing or what? It is so profound that I couldn't possibly explain what I'm trying to say. He is Mighty! I probably sound a bit nuts but then again, you would have to see what I am talking about.
As to whether the pastor and his wife condemned me for smoking, the answer is 'yes'. But I am quite becoming used to that now by many denominations. It wasn't that so much, that offended but the fact that they are teaching to be perfect and sinless. THIS is not the Gospel. They are preaching another Gospel and this is what not only saddens me, but moreover, enrages me for it is trampling our Lord Jesus's Death and resurrection into the dust. Trampling on the Son of God. Throwing away the Good News that is a gift from our God.
Interestingly enough, today as I walked down the hall to do something, I forget what, I was approached by another woman. She started talking about our Lord. I asked her what Church she attended and she told me. We furthered in pleasantries when she invited me to her Church. Only she pointed at my levi's and told me that should I come to her Church that I shouldn't wear but slacks or a dress. Also in the course of this conversation she informed me the there is no raising of hands during singing. Only the pastor does that part during singing. Raising of a hand or both of them is off limits to laity. And that,,you guessed it, we shouldn't smoke. Of course you can imagine me,,here I am, having just spoken with my elderly friend about the sda offshoot pastor and his wife and encouraged greatly by that conversation and full of joy, then told of all these man made traditions in her Church. Well, could I remain silent? Not moi, instead I find that I'm giving her the simple Gospel and then talking about Martin Luther (her Church is Lutheran) and how he fought the very idea of works in order to obtain our salvation. I went on and on but with love. I couldn't help myself. I should probably be locked up someplace for all I know. It seems that something has happened inside and I cannot keep silent. To make a long story short, she has invited me to her apartment and wants to know more. Praise the Lord!
Now, did I plan that? No. I had no idea that anything that happened today was going to happen. Infact, MY plan for this day was to have the day to myself, not get out of my pjs and simply rest. However, it seems to me that my plans were not God
's plans. For he knows the plans He has for us.
After the two encouraging conversations I headed back to my apartment, thinking to myself, wow, what a God we serve, when my manager approached me. She informed me that my best friend's ex husband died. My best friend is 84 and sda and lives 7 doors down from me. Her ex husband lived across the hall from me and was a delight. This was awful news. It was completely unexpected by anyone. My manager gave me a ride to the hospital and I remained there until around 6pm.
My best friend now needs encouragement. I put her name in the prayer thread and would thank you to pray for her. I am concerned for her health. However, tonight in taking her bp, it was a very good one so the Lord is again showing His Mighty Power!
In this too, God is good for this man was to suffer for a least a year before death but it lasted only 3 weeks. Very short in duration and for that we Praise His Holy Name. For it is our God who works all things for good for those who are in Christ Jesus.
God Bless you Cas,
Max

Hi, Denise,

Scripture says you are already perfect right
now, smoking and all, since you are a heart
believer:

"When this priest [God the Son] had offered for
all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at
the right hand of God [the Father]. Since that
time he waits for his enemies to be made his
footstool, because by one sacrifice HE HAS
MADE PERFECT FOREVER those who are
being made holy."

Praising God for your eternal perfection,

Max of the Cross

Dear Denise, I enjoy hearing your life experiences. Are you keeping a journal? You seem to be surrounded by everyday miracles that should be shared with others in a book.

You have a true mission in the place you live. Seniors are just the best (next to babies) God bless your endeavours. Valerie
