I want to thank all of you who encourage us former Adventist and Adventist who are searching for answers for that "gut feeling" that something is wrong here, through this web site.

Also, a big thank you to those responsible for this web site! Keep up the good work!

I'll never forget sitting around my families Thanksgiving table (with all my SDA relatives)6 years ago and my dad asking, "What are you thankful for this year?" My response was, "That God will, by His grace and leading, open the doors for me to leave Adventism and find meaningful ministry in a community church." I spoke those words in love, but also with strong conviction. My 2 sisters started to cry (they were devote Adventist) and my family didn't know what to say? Anyway, God answered my prayers 3 months later!

To all, I pray that you will have a blessed Thanksgiving season.

Bless you, Dan,

A man cannot cry, but I almost cried reading
that post above.

There are so many convicted ministers still in
pulpit in Adventism. And I feel so hurt when I
read posts condemning them for "being
hypocritical" and for "not leaving."

Dear fellow formers:

1. They have FAMILIES to support!

2. They are being led by the HOLY SPIRIT and
not by us!

May God convict us all to let God be God!

Dan2, Hi! God has used you in opening the eyes of so many in your family. May you continue to be an influence for His Grace alone!

A blessed Thanksgiving to you, too!

Grace always,
Cindy

Max, your words are so true. It is extrememly difficult to make the decision to leave when so much...family, finances, future employment etc. is so tied into it. We should continue conversations, but, as you said, always let the Holy Spirit lead them!

Grace always,
Cindy

P.S. Real Men DO Cry!! :-))

Dan2 God bless you as you celebrate your sixth anniversary into spiritual freedom!!!

Max, I agree with Cindy that it is the real men who cry. and also of the dilema of many ministers who wish to leave but have much to consider. Do you think some stay as they feel a burden for the people who are there and hope to help bring some comfort and sanity to there spiritual lives? Maybe the answer for some is to stay and work within.

This thanksgiving I am thankful for RECOVERY, a wonderful family, two healthy boys and a husband who is overall a really great guy. I am thankful that I have found new friend at FAF.

Hello Dan,
I am always so happy to hear news like what you have shared. The Lord is good to us and each and everyday we have several things to thank Him for. God Bless you and your family,
Denise

Max,
Uh hum...It is a real man that dares to cry. Don't buy in to the social pressure of men not crying, it's bull. God gave you tear ducts for some reason ya know. Not to mention, a heart of flesh not stone.
God Bless you Max,
Denise
