Kelly had asked some questions about symbolism in Scripture that were not answered.

I'm no theologian. By any means. LOL And I don't understand the Adventist slant. But, I was taught if the symbolism wasn't explained in Scripture then the passages must be interpretated as literal.

Kelly, what were you told was symbolic?

Hi Draper!
Thank you.

I will do some research as well.

The knowledge of these things will not add another diadem in our crowns in heaven, BUT IT WILL SURELY MAKE US LOOK SMART HERE ON EARTH!

You are blessed!

Hello all,

Recently on some thread, can't remember which one now, there was talk of Nephilim (sp) and tonight, I accidently came upon this site that is odd. Keep in mind that my mind was not even thinking in terms of Nephilim or demons et al but here is a site that I'm not too sure about.

It is talking about UFOs, demons, prinicipalities and the end times so thought I run this past you all and especially people like Doug, Jerry, Colleen (who are more enlightened than myself), to see what you make of this.

Any kind of opinion is better than none as this has some terms in it that I've heard before and also names that I've heard of before and cannot, to save my life, remember where from.

Please comment on this site:

Thank you and may God Bless anyone who comments. I surely hope that this in no way causes anyone to stumble so please don't be lead astray by some things that are not Scriptural and I'm not certain this is but need to find out from others here what your take on this is.

Denise, your inquiring sister IN Christ our God.

Denise, I'm not sure what part of the article you want comments on, but I'll give you what I see and know.

The articles general tone of 'see, there are actual demons out there'---is the stuff that the military was afraid of. At Roswell, the memory was still fresh of the panic induced by Orson Welles 'War of the Worlds'. So, the government did not want that type of panic and hysterical reaction. The government also needed to know where these craft were coming from, what their capabilites were and if they posed a threat. Our government, it's pretty clear today, managed to get their hands on one at Roswell---and two or three others since then.

Project Majestic existed---the MJ12 group is historical fact. Project Jehovah was the overall code name given to discovering the 'god-like' powers and abilities that the craft had. Remember, we were just beginning the first flights of jet aircraft, and here were saucers that could fly at fantastic speeds. How was it being done? That's what the government wanted to know.

Anyway, it seems pretty clear that quite a few inventions can be traced back to the craft. For years research was apparently carried out at 'Area 51' in the Nevada desert. Now, some of that research has been transferred to White Sands in New Mexico.

Is this all part of some Satanic plot? I don't know and I don't think anybody will know for a long time. There is just too much about that unseen world that we just aren't told. We do know that the last days will be like Noahs', and that apparently Demons did create a race of half humans (caution--the case is far from certain on this) so maybe it will happen again.

As long as we Christians stick close to the Word, we'll be aware of what's happening when we need to know.

Well Denise, I went and quickly scaned through the article. Once again we see the same old story we experienced in Adventism played out: those who focus on end-time prophecies get gooky, they get FEARFUL, they see conspiracies that "they" are out to get "us".

Loneviking, there is NO evidence that there is an actual area 51, nor is there evidence that there has ever been a "crashed spaceship", and we do NOT have any inventions that come from the study of this dreamed up spaceship.

What we do have in the world is folks who have paid way too much attention to the silly rumors that got pumping back when the space program got going. Is there a satan who is literally working in the world? Absolutely. Is he doing it by having "space ships" show up? nooo

There's a guy outside White Sands, New Mexico who has a ministry to the folks who come on pilgrimage to the area seeking "area 51". They talk of "extra-terrestrials" and having been "abducted" and taken for rides on "space craft". His take after ministering with these folks for some time now has been this: when you open a door that wide, satan will definitely take the opportunity and walk thru it. It's a bit like playing with a Ouija board. Satan says, "oh, so that's what you want to see and hear, that's what you fear, okay, here you go." And they end up with their minds being messed up by the satanic.

He says that he has had some success in ministering to these folks and leading them to realize that what they have experienced is the demonic. Many have left it for salvation in Christ and, I repeat, AND no longer have these experiences.

Actually, Lydell, there is such a place as ìArea 51î but it has nothing to do with aliens. It is also called ìskunk works.î

It is where the US Airforce tests new technology.

That plus the required secrecy can explain some of the sightings: for example when strange new test craft is seen.

I do not believe there was a ìspace ship crash.î

Hey everybody, Just thought I would throw in my two cents worth on the subject of UFOs while we are all on it. I believe that these many UFO sightings are not "alien beings" at all, I am convinced that they are the fallen angels deceiving spiritually ignorant people (SDAs, JWs, and Mormons could be prime targets). I will say that UFOs are exactly what they imply--unidentified flying objects--flown by Satan's army of demons. My mother has seen one once and I have seen them on two different occasions myself.

Years ago, my two boys came running into the house yelling for me to come and see the flying saucer, and that was exactly what I saw!!! Before you all raise an eyebrow and pass me off as goofy, I honestly saw it. I came out and said "where is it" and looked up to see a metallic object that appeared to be setting still in mid-air just over our heads. It appeared to be about the size of a half dollar if you held one in your hand and had an entire row of circular things that looked like ball bearings all around the outer rim of its underside. I will never forget standing there and looking at it and saying "just what do you think you are looking at, you don't scare me with your deceptions, I know that you are Satan's demons, now go on", before I could even count to one--that thing went zip into a cloud cover with lightning speed, so fast that I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.

On one other occasion, I came out of my house one night after dark and heard a loud humming sound like I had never heard before and looked towards the sound and saw three lights: red, white, and blue, patriotic anyway, ha, ha. Well, one light was spinning around like a spotlight towards the ground, another was rotating towards the sky, and one was spinning around the middle of the object that appeared to be about the size of a large helicopter and was very close to the ground. I have no clue as to what that was either, so, again it was a UFO to me, it could have been an experimental aircraft being tested nearby because we lived 20 miles from Ft. McClellan in Alabama.

I believe the film footage that they came out with on TV was just a silly little Hollywood scare tactic like the radio broadcast that you mentioned that was aired on Halloween years ago by Orson Wells and made so many people panic thinking we were truly being invaded.

I hope I can say this without getting too much ridicule, after all, this is just me talking, I am not quoting scripture, so, I am wide open, okay? The fact is that those who will remain after the church is taken out of the way will be "given a strong delusion" so that they may believe a lie. I personally believe that a possible delusion would be "alien abduction", imagine the news media reporting from all over the world about millions "vanishing" into thin air. Makes for a great movie, huh? Something like--Beam me up, Scotty, I guess. I really do believe that all of these people "believe" that they were truly abducted by aliens but if you read that little booklet that I posted about, you will really get an eye opener into the world of deception of Satan and his demonic forces. People just don't really believe in demons and demons are nothing more than the "fallen angels" that got cast out of heaven with Satan during the fall. Satan was cast down to earth and this became his world, but still he has to petition God before he can touch one of his children, when I use the word children, I am not referring to God's creation, I am speaking of his children that have been adopted into the family, the redeemed, the sealed, etc. Anyone who refuses to come to God is laying themselves wide open to Satanic attack.

Anyway, that was my two-cents on the UFO stuff, and I guess I need to try to make my way towards getting ready for bed. I did want to mention one more thing though. I keep reading posts that talk about the confusion about hell and the eternal soul. I sent my mother a video set from the Jack Van Impe web site that really did an indepth study on the subject and whether she viewed it, I will probably never know, but she returned it to me with a short little thank you card along with the request that I quit sending her religious literature.

Folks, that is the one big thing that really "ticks me off" more than any thing that they can say and that is too refer to the word of God as "religious" while putting EGW on a pedestal and taking HER words for the gospel, the SDAs are the religious fanatics with their religious literature that clearly contradicts scripture which, by the way, is the way that God says we are to measure their words by. My sister even claims that EGW's books have "made her pathways straight!!!"

Boy, my sister was furious with me when she found out that I had sent an e-mail to her SDA web site that told them that God just might start blessing them if they would take EGW down off the cross and reference the savior like they should. I was even told that I needed to reverence the woman and quit calling her "that woman" and to quit using my curt little EGW slang abbreviations. I was even told that if I wasn't careful that I just might find myself in the same situation as those kids that got mauled by the she bear for making fun of the prophet Daniel. She really hated it too when I told her that I had studied her silliness out only to find that the bear mauled a bunch of kids for making fun of Daniel for being bald, not for his prophetic insight and because he had prayed for the children to be punished. I also stated that I didn't consider exposing "false teachers" making fun either.

This is serious business, and we must gain strength from one another here. Let's put all our efforts into praying for these lost loved ones. Again I say that my heart really goes out to those who have had loved ones actually, literally, get IN their faces with this mess. Flaming in an e-mail is hurtful enough but Lord knows, I just don't know how I would take to having my mother scream at me or my husband make me out to be a fool for taking God at his word.

Again I say "Lord help us all". If life is a football game, then we must be in the fourth quarter; baseball fans, we are in the ninth ending!!

Keep the faith and check out those sites I mentioned to you. Don't forget too that there is plenty to check out about hell and the state of the dead in the Eternal Security booklet called Safe & Secure, found at:
http://www.gospelcom.net/rbc/ds/q0906/q0906.html and How To Identify A Dangerous Religious Group:
http://www.gospelcom.net/rbc/ds/q0906/q0906.html

In my prayers, good night for now.

Well, Lydell, Popular Science did a full article on Area 51 with diagrams and photos--go look it up. Area 51 is in NEVADA---not White Sands which is in New Mexico. The service teams and scientists fly in from Las Vegas. There are plenty of signposts warning of government property and that deadly force can be used against trespassers. Just put 'Area 51' in the Google search engine..........

And actually, Jerry, 'skunk works' refers to the contractors programs---companies such as Lockheed, Martin Douglas, etc. Area 51 is strictly military---true, they do test new forms of aircraft. But they also seem to do R & D using money that is not found in the official budget. You can see some weird things flying if you are out around Edwards or Groom Lake. Just this last weekend I saw the strangest jet out by Groom Lake---the contrail looked very much like the exhaust trail for the missles that go up from Vandenburg. But, you could see that the craft was large with swept back wings, and it was headed nearly vertical and went up and up and up---until it disappeared and never leveled off. I wonder if maybe that was an Aurora?

Anyway, it's fun to swap info and theories...........

I hesitate to answer....but....I know a very sincere christian who was admittedly possesed by the devil before being saved and they were cast out and she says that these "aircrafts" whatever you want to call them followed her everywhere she went. Her friends and family saw them, it wasn't in her head. The devil is real and I believe 'aliens' are fallen angels. Go ahead with the stone throwing.........

Nope, I won't throw rocks at you over this! All I'm saying is that the original article makes claims that can mostly be verified by doing a little searching. But, what still isn't answered is what are these craft? Do they really exist? Are they Satanic in origin?---the original article says yes, I'm just saying 'maybe'...........
