Yesterday in our local paper there was a one page advertisement for Sun Myung Moon. It was wild!!! It listed the various religions and had "testimony" from various dead leaders. They all "proclaimed" Moon as the son of God and the "true parents". The was even a letter from God and Joseph Stalin!! It says that Jesus, Peter and Paul all support this too. All I have to say is come quickly Jesus. | ||

I met with the Moonies in the late 1970's in San Francisco. Although invited to a weekend "retreat" I knew enough to not take them up on the offer. I've read much of their material over the years. I honestly believe that the Seventh-day Adventist church is worse than the Holy Spirit Association for Unification of World Christianity (the church of Sun Myung Moon [his name translates to "Shining Sun and Moon"]. [I may have the name slightly incorrect after so many years] It is obvious to the casual observer what is wrong with the Unification church. It is not so obvious what is wrong with SDAism. SDAism is, like the serpent in the garden of eden, "more subtle" that all the other beasts of the field. NOTE: BEWARE OF WITNESS LEE'S WRITINGS! Do not confuse him with Watchman Nee, a great Christian Chinese man. Witness Lee, based near here in Anaheim, CA, teaches the heresy of modalism, including the teaching that the church will become the fourth manifestation of the Godhead (following the first three: Father, then Son, then Holy Spirit). I actually found a Witness Lee book in the La Sierra Adventist Book Center a couple of years ago. Be as wise as a serpent yet gentle as a dove. Steve |
