With all that is going on in Iraq. Could Saddam restore Babylon to it's original state? What would happen if America's economy continues to go south? What if Iraq sends a nuclear bomb our way? They have the one resource the world needs-OIL.

Check out this page and let me know what you think.

I did look at the site.

I regret to say that I do not share your aparent interest/concern/curiosity.

It represents another cleverly constructed argument from unsubstantiated claims mixed with other seemingly related evidence.

Perhaps others are seeking the "hidden" meaning of the Bible and/or present events. However, I see no point.

May God grant you his peace.

Hi Sabra,
I checked out that article you gave the link too, and it was interesting indeed. I did check out the other spots on that site and I must ask, where did you run across the site? I checked out one of the articles on it that dealt with geology/dinosaurs/fossils because I am a very active fossil hunter and have done a lot of class and field work in the pursuit of my hobby. Because of that interest I read through that article and I must say that I do question a lot of things he says and believes because a lot of his writing just gave me the feel that he thinks he knows it all and has every answer to everything. Something that really caught my eye was that he claims the dinosaurs were kind of a "first creation" and he says it's Biblically based to claim that, but really I question the validity of that statement. I don't intend to put the author down personally as I do not know the individual, but I do question some of what he writes and the tone that he writes in. Granted, I didn't view all the material on his page but what I did look at seemed very arrogant in a way. I would definitely need to read more of his material. Going back to the Iraq article you originally brought up, most of the stuff he talks about connection S. Hussein with ancient Babylon is not new to me, just the pictures are...
To be honest, reading the material of his I read, small sample that is was, it really gave me flashes of Adventism in a way, the way he has an answer for everything, all of the time and he presents so much that it would take awhile to read through it all and weigh what he says.
I'm definitely interested in what other people think of the Iraq section as well as that website's other areas too, so hopefully everyone can go look at it and weigh in.

Hi Sabra,
I believe that Babylon in Rev.16 is referring to a spiritual state that we as Godís people can go into if after a reasonable amount of time of growing in the Lord we do not overcome. The things to overcome mentioned in Rev. 2 & 3 to the seven churches are to be applied to us if we can hear what the Spirit is saying. Just like the nation of Israel went into Babylon because they did not overcome we to can go into a spiritual Babylon. Thatís why God said in Rev.? come out of her my people. The mass majority of God's people are nowhere near Iraq where natural Babylon is. I would think that they are 99% Muslim.
Grace and Peace to you

How do you interpret Jer. 50 and 51?
