I just wanted to say that I hope everyone who comes here has a wonderful experience this Thanksgiving weekend. I taught only a half day today, and this afternoon as I was making the "mock turkey" (substitutes for dressing for the accompanying REAL turkey!), I was thinking about everyone who's been posting on this forum and praying that all of us would experience gratitude for our freedom in Jesus in meaningful ways.

I was especially praying for some of you who may be going through transitions inside yourselves and also with family members, such as Derrell, Lee, Terry, Faith, Carla, Speakeasy--all of you who are discovering the true gospel and the freedom and the loss and risk that such a discovery brings.

We are going to a Thanksgiving Eve service at our church in a couple of hoursóthat is such an amazing way to start a holiday! Who ever thought of giving up non-Sabbath time for a church service in the past?!

I am praising the Holy Spirit for calling us, Jesus for making us clean, and the Father for making us his children.

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!

Happy Thanksgiving!

With love and prayers for us all,
Colleen

Yes, I, too, want to wish everyone a special and meaningfu Thanksgiving. My dad passed away last month (he'd recently turned 93) and it will seem such an empty holiday wihout him. Thansgiving was always his favorite holiday. However, there is so very much to be thankful for! My last of thanks is long. God bless each of you.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

We will dine out, with family members, for our festive dinner tomorrow. Amid all our thanksliving, let us be especially grateful for our newly-found anchor in the new covenant teachings of Jesus Christ. God is good all the time--all the time God is good!

" . . . always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father." Eph 5:20

Happy Thanks-Living!

I add my name to the list of those giving thanks this day. First that our daughter and son inlaw made the trip from Ohio to Florida to spend the holidays with us. Second that the Grand daughter made it through an emergency surgery in the "best to hope for" condition, the day before Thanksgiving and always for the Grace of God which saves us through the faith he gives us in the blood of Jesus which atones for us.

Wishing you all a blessed day and a blessed Christmas season. Isn't it great when your eyes can be totally on Jesus, all of the time!

In His Grace

Another Thanksgiving passage is Psalms 95. I hope you each can read it yet today.
