I am reading Perry Stone's book "Unleashing the Beast"

What do you think about the following Islaamic beliefs on end times?

They believe:

*They are waiting for a messiah, he is the Mahdi, he will cause the whole world to convert to Islaam or be killed.

*He will appear just before the end of the world in a time of great tribulation.

*He will seize Turkey through force. (what about the fact that Turkey is the only Islaamic nation standing with Bush?)

*After uniting all of Islaam he will take over the entire world in the name of Islaam.

*There will be great prosperity including gold and silver for his followers.

*After this is accomplished the Mahdi will rule for five, seven or nine years, depending on which tradition is followed.

*The end of the world will come followed by the judgement of Allah.

Let's compare teachings
--Muslim-Mahdi will unite the Muslim world
--Christian-antichrist will unite 10 kingdoms(Rev. 17:12)

--Muslim-Gold and silver
--Christian-antichrist will honor his god with gold and silver Dan.11:38

--Muslim- will rule 5,7 or 9 years
--Christian-antichrist will rule for 7 years Dan. 9:27

--Muslim-Mahdi will come from the east
--Christian-antichrist will be great toward the east Dan. 8:9

Perry Stone interviewed a Muslim man asking him how he would describe the end of the world, his reply should chill you to the bone. He said:

Quote"In the last days there will be earthquakes, famines and strange signs from Allah. There will come several prophets claiming to be prophets in the name of Allah, but they will be false, we are warned not to follow them. They will work in line with the antichrist. Then our Mahdi will rise to power. He will come according to tradition, riding on a white horse. Jesus will appear and follow the Mahdi. We believe the Mahdi will come to Jerusalem and liberate it from the Jews and Christians. He will convert people to Islaam when Jesus tells everyone that he lied, that He is not the Son of God, because God cannot have a Son. Jesus will perform miracles to prove He is Jesus. He will point people to the Mahdi, and will kill the Jews and tell the Christians to forsake the idea of the Trinity and forsake the Cross. Islaamic justice will rule the earth. Those who rebel against the Mahdi will be punished, and some say with a sword." end quote

Well there we have the antichrist riding on the white horse with a bow and no arrow, a crown of a conqueror--Rev. 6:2
The two witnesses of Rev. 11
The false prophet performing miracles,
Muslims denying the Son

Sabra, I had not heard this but will ask our Mission Pastor if he has heard of this. His specialty is Moslem beliefs because he had to work with them in many settings. Extemely interesting and may shed light on why such a proactive position be taken by the Moslem community at this time against the USA, the great Satan.

To All, I hope you will leave this up for a couple more days so I can get an opinion from a Preacher I know that has studied Moslems in depth.

My messianic friend who has an answer for everything...says the Koran was copied from the Bible. She says Saddam H. is always riding around on a white horse for visual effect.

By the way, she has left me alone until today. she sent me an article about the Christian church being irrelevant by a Messianic rabbi. These people have a lot of pride. I couldn't read all of it b/c I am tired of being told how pagan Christians are and how far astray we have been led over the centuries.

I am sorry, I find it hard to believe that God would let that happen to millions of people that love him.

Have you noticed that a lot of the times when Jesus talks to the Jews about the Law, he says "your Law". Why doesn't he say..."my Law." Is this significant? Why does he call it "your Law" to the Jews? Anyone know?

Pheeki,

I think the reason Christ called it "their law" was because these "religious" people had taken scripture, just like today's religious groups, and twisted it until it fit them and was no longer the law that God gave at Mt. Sinai.

So many groups have taken the word "law" and implied that laws, covenants, commandments, and rituals are all one in the same, when in fact, they are different, but when the Bible says plainly "those laws that were etched in stone" were done away with at Calvary, then this should silence all the SDAs that harp on and on about the 4th commandment not being done away with. Like someone else mentioned in a previous post, if Jesus himself spoke, and he is my savior, guess who I am going to listen to? Jesus is my final authority concerning the laws, and if his laws are not being obeyed within a church house, then I would have no choice but to come out from amongst them and find truth with other fellow believers in another gathering of saints.

Jesus was more than our savior, he was a teacher and was a teacher from the age of 13 or maybe even younger than that. He was not eligible to be a Rabbi however until he was 30 years old, according to Jewish custom. He expounded on the major commandments, or the ten as we call it, but according to my studies, God has given all authority over to his son Jesus and even stated in the Bible that we were to "listen to him" (Jesus), so, that is why I feel that when Jesus told one of the religious people that the most important commandment was to love God with everything in us and the second most important was to love your neighbor as yourself, then this indeed became the NEW commandment that God told us to heed. Jesus went on to say that in doing the two things, the rest of it would simply fall into place.

Scripture also indicates that some of us will esteem one day above another day of the week while some will see everyday as the same. This is my view, I praise God for every day that he gives me and try to show him the honor and glory befitting of his child, and I know that when I fail him that I have the best defense attorney in the world who has never lost a case yet, and his name is Jesus. I choose to assemble with fellow Christians on the Lord's Day and have never considered Sunday as the Sabbath day of the Jews which is Saturday. I don't feel that it makes a difference anyway since I was in fact saved on a weekday while attending Vacation Bible School. His spirit will always be where two or more are gathered together in his name and that happens every single day all over the world. My God is not limited to time and space and my being sealed by observing a worship time is the biggest lie that the devil has ever fabricated. Like I said earlier too, I prefer being called a Christian above any other title that I have ever carried but am proud to be associated with the Baptists.

Jesus also rebuked the law makers of the day and stated that they had made up many rules but wouldn't abide by them themselves. This could have been some of the rules or laws that Jesus was referring to, but that is just an opinion.

I don't know if that cleared anything up with you or not, but it is my opinion and it could be a bad one, so, let God be true and all men liars is my statement here.

God bless,

Janice
