Hi Janice,

Just thought I would try to explain how to start a topic.

On the left hand section of the forum page, I think you should see:

Discussion
Topics
Last Day
Last Week
Tree View

. . . and so on.

Click on ěTopicsî

Then you will see:

DISCUSSION
TO OUR ADVENTIST FRIENDS
PRAYER

And so on.

Click the one under which you want your thread.

When the screen returns, scroll to the bottom. You should see a button labeled ěCreate New Conversationî

Click it.

Other than the ětitleî box, It should be just like replying to another thread.

Janice, How nice it must have been to be way down south. I'm stuck up here in Canada where it still goes below freezing at night. I enjoy taking my dog out at night though through the park with my wife. My dog is a friendly chow chow and he enjoys meeting other people and other dogs so we have a good time.

I just wanted to remark on not claiming perfection. It is true in that of ourselves. But we can claim perfection only in that of Christ imputed His rightousness to us. It is and only will be anything that is of God in us that we can claim to be perfect.

I know we look as though we are far from perfect, but as we believe in Jesus the Father looks at us and only sees Jesus Christ and our life is hidden in Him as He was nail to the cross and then resurrected from the dead and now seated and resting in Him.

Hey everyone, I just got a new mouse and can't get the cordless dohicky to make contact like the old one, so, I have plugged the old standard one in just long enough to reply to a couple of posts. Thanks so much for the encouraging words, they mean a lot as I continue to get bombarded with cutting remarks, etc. Nothing would please some people better than for me to use my privilieges to continue to harrass and cut people by "passing it along" but I won't follow suit; as Denise said, that isn't what this forum is all about, but I did want the prayers for me as well as the other party that is involved.

Thanks for the information about creating a thread in the forum, now, if you could just simplify the instructions for formatting, I think it would help. I have tried on several occasions to do it step by step and I can't figure out if I select the text before or after I key it in to get it underlined or change color of the text.

Looking forward to the discussions but for now my foot high grass is saying cut me and this 73 degrees is just too good to last without another cold spell, it we are true to form in the south anyway. We have had several blizzards in March and April down through the years. We live in an area commonly referred to as "tornado alley" and really see a lot of damage this time of year. Just pray for all of us down here.

As for Canada, I once visited my uncle that lived in Warren, Michigan near Detroit and rode a steamboat across one of the great lakes to a little island amusement park called Bo-Lo, I think. Anyway, that was almost forty years ago. I would love to visit Canada and would love to see Prince Edward Island where the Anne of Green Gables movies were filmed. It looks so beautiful, but of course Mike and I both love the ocean and have a boat docked in Gulf Shores, Alabama and would love to fish more often than we do, if only we could afford it.

I have to make myself stop and get to that grass before it gets my bedtime, I really feel worn these days but still thank God for the job he sent my way.

God is so good!!!!

I live in Calgary just an hour and a half from Banff. One of the best spots and almost all hikers that I meet agree is Sentinal pass. To get there you go to Lake Louise and just before you get here you turn and go to Moraine Lake instead. Then as you walk down the right side of the Lake you turn and walk up the mountain to Larch valley. It takes and hour to get at the start of the valley. As you walk up through the valley you become totally surround by mountains at close range and above the tree line. At the end of Larch valley there are some little lakes and then switch backs that go up between two mountians until you get at the top of the ridge that is Sentinal Pass. It is truely awsome. A total walk of two hours up. On the way down back at the start of Larch Valley take the trail to Ifel Lake and walk it for at least a half hour, it is fairly flat. You will see the Valley of Ten Peaks at a closer range. It is the cliffs of ten mountains side by side and goes for about five miles or more.

I moved away from Calgary seven times trying to get away until I discovered this place. Now I would hate to move away unless it was closer to this place.

I meet people there from all over the world and many go there once a year just to see it again. I've even seen people in their eighty's walking slowly up there. You need to be a parked at Morraine Lake before 11:00 am. or parking gets difficult. I know alot of people born and raised in Calgary and they have never ever hear of Larch valley.

Two more places that will make you think you were raptured and gone to heaven. Go to Vancouver Island then to Horby Island " it takes two ferries one to Denman Island then Hornby Island. When your'e on Hornby Island go to Tribune Bay there is a camp ground there, but go to the beach when the tide is out the most and walk up the right side of the beach. They call this the Jewel of the gulf islands. Sandstone mixed with lava rock and the erosion in the rock is awsome.

Another good place go to the west coast of Vancouver Island "long beach". There is a federal camp ground called Green Point. Go to the beach when the tide is out walk south to the end, take a trail to the other beach on the other side of the treed area. Then walk down between the little islands of rocks and enjoy the sea life that clinges to the rock. Then walk on all the rain forest trails that you can. They are boarded trails that take you through the rain forest up and down the hillside though cutaways in big trees. September is best for the west coast.

Oh, that sounds toooo good to be true. If ever I get back up that way, I just might have to look you up Brad. Email me sometime and I will send you some pictures of those flowers that I described over at my mother-in-law's house. We have a place down in south Georgia called Calloway Gardens and it is pretty breathtaking too. I love those nature trails and such that you talked about, just wished this old knee didn't give me fits and the back and feet don't work as good as they did back in my younger days either.

I guess I need to cut this short before I get to carried away at day dreaming, huh?

I will talk to you later Brad, thanks for sharing that with us.

For those who can only walk on the flat land. If you ever get to Lake Louise or Morraine Lake, just walk to the back of either Lake on their right hand side and you will see all the best but from a lower elavation. Lake Louise is a classic, at the back of the Lake are cliffs that go straight up in colors of orange and purple. Marraine Lake is awesome just from the parking lot. You do not eveen have to go to the back to get the best. Morraine Lake use to back it's picture on the back of the twenty dollar bill in the old days.

Brad, STOP already! You're tormenting me here! I saw Lake Louise and Banff when I was 17 and am determined to get back there one day. It is so gorgeous! The Lord definitely worked a masterpiece up there.

Oh well, I'll go back out and appreciate the masterpiece we have here today. All the azaleas and dogwood are in bloom and it is 70 degrees. Definitely the best time of year.

Lydell is right - best time of year around here, EXCEPT for the sneezing and green pollen dust that covers everything! Canada sounds awesome! We took an Alaskan cruise last summer, and everywhere you looked was like a picture postcard, almost too good to be true. That was the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen, and I hear Banff can even top that! Is that true Brad?

OK, I'll go ahead and extoll California's springtime. The road between Loma Linda and our house climbs through a pass in which the elevation rises about 1,000 to 1,500 feet. The hills these past two weeks have been carpeted with dense expanses of fiddle neck, tiny yellow flowers that open on stalks that uncurl at the tip (hence the name fiddle neck) interspersed with huge patches of lupine. These grow out of the lush green grass that's the result of our spring rains. The result is that the hills that rise above the road are masses of yellow and purple on a background of spring green. It's been breathtaking.

(Of course, in a few weeks the hills will be brown until next spring, but for now, Wow!)

I can see why Paul said the invisible qualities and divine nature of God have been revealed through all that has been created so all men are without excuse! (Romans 1:18-20)

Well everybody, I can definitely see that we are all trying to get over our wintertime "cabin fever" and it feels great. I was admiring the 76 degree afternoon when tiny little drops of rain began to fall and it is now clicking on the air-conditioner but I don't mind, it sounds like music. All of these things mentioned are such beautiful reminders of how God really reveals his beauty and his love for his children, isn't it?

Carol, Banff is okay for the town site and it nice, but does not even come close to the other places I mentioned. I have to go passed Banff to get to them and I rarely stop in at Banff except to go for supper or shopping. If you are ever in the area there are a few other places worth seeing like Emerald Bay around Field BC just west of Lake Louise. Lake O hara is one of the best but you have to reserve three months in advance for the bus ride or walk 5 or 6 miles in grizzly country. Oh well it's all griz country around here. I just take bear spray with me when I go.

I think I should let you all know that I live in God's Country, California's Central Coast. The Central Coast is considered to be within 20 miles inland from the ocean and extends north from Monterey south through Ventura. This area includes the cities of Monterey, Morro Bay, Pismo, Grover Beach (my town), Arroyo Grande, Oceano, Shell Beach, Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Nipomo, Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Ventura as well as several other small communities that I failed to mention. The surfing had made this area famous as well as the yummy strawberries. The hills are lush and green with several wild horse preserves alomg the freeway. The sand-dunes are awsome and fishing is one on the primary industries in this area. This is also the area of the famous California Missions that Father Serra founded in the mid-1700's. The Chumash Indians are the native people of this region and fortunatelly are very active in the local and regional planning of developments, roads, etc. The flowers are georgeous and there are lots of native animals. As far as I'm concerned the oppossiums could be extinct but they just mulitply. We have numerous beautiful lakes in this area. There is Lake Nacemeinto and Lake Lopez, too name the two closest to me. There are probably around six more nice sized lakes in the Central Coast area. This area is lovely. It truly is GOD'S COUNTRY!

Hey there Sabra,

That is beautiful piano music on that site! Oh, I just melted with it and played it over and over. Me and keyboards.....we have this love affair <grin>. Wish I were so talented as whoever played that Amazing Grace though. Absolutely beautiful.

I read that website for the other view of which I've heard except for this part:

"A Matter of History? ... Check Again! There are many that are trying to discredit the pre-trib rapture because they believe most of the end time events in the Bible had already taken place by 70 AD. They see just about all of the Apocalyptic scriptures as being already fulfilled. How they explain away the world's current situation and it's detailed unfolding in Scripture is beyond us. ...

the Rebirth of Israel - 1948 (first KEY sign the End Times has begun)
Jeremiah 30:3,10,11 ... Jeremiah 31:8-10 ... Isaiah 43:5,6 ... Ezekiel11:17
Ezekiel 28:25 ... Isaiah 11:11 ... Ezekiel 37 (See Also: 'Israel - God's Time Piece') ...the

Rise of the European Union / Revived Roman Empire ...
Daniel 2:41-44...Daniel 7:8...Daniel 7:24&25...Revelation ...the Wars & Rumors of Wars ... Matthew 24:6-7...Mark 13:7-8...Luke 21:10 ...

Questions
for those who claims that prophecy has been all or mostly fulfilled: -

When did the battle of Gog & Magog occur? Ezekiel 38 & 39

When was Damascus taken away from being a city
and turned into a ruinous heap? ...Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 49:23-27

The demise of some of Israel's neighbors? ... Psalm 83, Zech 9, Zep 2,

When was the third Jewish Temple Built?... Daniel 11:31 ... 2 Thes 2:4

-

When were the 100 LB hailstones falling from the sky? Rev 16:21

When did the sea turn to blood? Rev 8:7-8, 16:21

When was the mark of the beast enforced? Rev 13:17

And when was the Antichrist here? _causing ALL to worship him! Rev 13:12

When did a third of the population die?

Rev 9:18

When was Babylon destroyed? Rev 19

When did the Antichrist and his armies gather
together to make war with Jesus? Rev 19:19-20"

As you know, I'm a "post trib" person and I've never ever thought that those prophecies have been fulfilled already. Infact, without sounding crazy, everynight or whenever I watch t.v., seems like a lot of prophecy is being fulfilled as we live.

See, I'm waiting for all that to be fulfilled and believe that I'll be here for it. If anyone thinks that all that has been fulfilled already, then they hold a different position than I do. How could anyone believe that all that has been fulfilled? That's shocking to think that there are people who do believe that and yes, I've even read of some folks who claim that but it wasn't in the context of the "rapture."

Anyhow, that's my view in short.

Thanks for the site. It's always good for me to read others perspectives.

And that music!! Fabulous! :)

Blessings to you and yours,

your sister in Christ,

Denise Gilmore

Good Morning, I get this email daily and thought that I would paste it here for all of you to study over.It is called Daily Light on the Daily Path Devotional and is an assortment of verses thrown together with the books, chapters, and verses at the bottom. The web site is: http://bible.christiansunite.com/dldpindex.shtml
Be strong and of a good courage. The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?--He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.--My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?--The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?--Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.--We are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Arise [therefore], and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.
Jos 1:18 Ps 27:1 Isa 40:29-31 Ps 73:26 Ro 8:31 Ps 118:6 44:5 Ro 8:37 1Ch 22:16
Our friend . . . sleepeth. I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.If the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: and if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.--Now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept. It came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, . . . and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.-- This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.-- Witnesses chosen before of God, . . . who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
Joh 11:11 1Th 4:13,14 1Co 15:16-18,20 Jos 4:1,3,7 Ac 2:32 10:41

In summary, I thought that these verses helped explain that the word sleep was just another word for "death" and it also makes mention of Christ bringing those that are asleep/dead in Christ with him.

This devotional seemed to tie in with the rapture theory that we are discussing and while clearing up some difficult passages, it also proves, once again, that EGW wasn't as inspired or as smart as many thought she was.

I will say also that many times when I have had a trying day or week that when I pray for guidance from our Father and ask him to reveal his truth in the word that he often gives his answer in a devotional, I have several devotionals that I check out daily and then I read my Bible in my free time at work, either my hand-held or the blueletterbible.org if a computer is free, and after last week's run in with Bob and all his verbal abuse that my husband and I prayed over, I thought it was great to read the above scripture about how God gives his children strength and the fact that If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?--The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? (What can Bob ____ [edited by webmaster] or any other man do to me, what can he say about me, even though his remarks cut deeply, that can ever separate me from the love of the father?) --Through thee (God) will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.--We are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Arise [therefore], and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.

This last verse, Arise and be doing, really stood out as an inspiring command from God and this is why I keep coming back to the forum stronger and stronger with every insult. I did take Brad's advice and will not ever allow myself to be burdened down with Bob again, I sent a reply to his email and asked him to leave me alone and am getting on my my life and will continue to give my input here in the forum for as long as the web master allows.

I was serious when I mentioned that I purchased a web site of my own but I haven't even started it except to create the email addresses. I know that I want it to be a site that will be a kind of devotional reading for anyone visiting and would like to post some pictures of my family in it. I thought too that I may use it to comment on my study of Acts for a start and then edit my letter to my sister expounding on the book of I John. Of course, I always love to talk about the rapture and hope to get on that subject eventually as well. Maybe some of you can send your thoughts to me in an email to my site!!!

That web site email address will be: Janice@theLumpkinhome.com and I want to go on record as saying that I am not creating this web site for people to send me emails of insulting and degrading nature, it will be something that helps us to grow in the Lord and to uplift instead of chopping down and will definitely be trying to open the eyes of those who are living in a "false" hope. I want to glorify Jesus and his gospel of grace while maintaining the hope in all of us that know we will have a glorious home awaiting us when these trials of life are over, so having said all of that, I welcome the emails that will offer me suggestions of how to get started on that project.

Bob-please don't even go there, okay?

Looking forward to your feedback on these verses that I listed above.

I think I will now go to the topic that I started up on cults and put a little in on it and then get up and start my house cleaning while Mike is out hunting this morning.

Until next time, God bless and have a great day.

Denise,

Those are preterist and I don't understand them either but they are growing. I guess they think we are in the millinium already.

If you think you will be here for all of that junk at the end and you get raptured early...what a wonderful surprise!! Right?

Guess since I think I'll be raptured, if I end up here during all of that junk I'll just pray a lot and trust Him!

Either way, we're outta here, sooner...or later!!

Can't wait!

I read about the preterist interpretation of Revelation in a book on hermeneutics written in the 19th century. The earlier chapters are interpreted as being fulfilled in the first century. The Roman empire is the beast and Nero is the antichrist, the cult of empire worship is the false prophet. The return of Christ and the binding of Satan in chapters 19 and 20 are seen to have happened at the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD, so we are in the "millennium" now. This is therefore linked to the amillennialist school of eschatology, which teaches that there will be no 1000 year kingdom of God on earth, but the church gradually conquers evil and establishes the kingdom. I have written that from memory, so forgive me if the details are not correct.
I thought this was an old theory and not very popular nowadays, but I could be wrong on that one.

Actually, Doc, I think that, although it's not the most popular view, the preterist view is alive and well today among Christians. Richard and I know someone we respect highly who leans toward this view and even gave us a book explaining it.

I still see evidence for a millennial kingdom that is still to come! At the same time, I don't see amillennialism as "heresy", either. I can understand how its proponents reason it based on the somewhat ambiguous prophecies.

Colleen, I agree, I can still see a future millennial kingdom, after all, lions are still carnivorous-haven't seen one yet eating that straw. Satan is still alive and well and his demons are certainly active in their use of us to make us so vindictive and vengeful and harrassing towards one another and still refer to ourselves as being In Christ, from my point of view of this last couple of week's events, I most certainly have become a "victim" and it is an understatement to say that I am "painting myself" as a victim, as long as we try to bring out truth, we will always come under attack from Satan and until God's children are taken out of here in the rapture, then we have God's word on it that this nonsense will get worse and worse until that period of time.

If anyone feels that I should leave this forum or if you feel that I need to be silenced, all any of you need to do is send in an email to the web master and the web master can do what they deem is best for this forum as a whole. I have been asked to stop mentioning names in my posts and have tried to comply but as the harrassment continues, I find it hard to remain silent.

Just like Angie and Colleen, my pastor has also received emails concerning my "ugly" behavior, but I don't see him banging on my door telling me to cool it, but I am getting a pat on the back and encouragement from "many" who are praying for me and I know that God rewards those of us who are not afraid of speaking the truth. Not that I compare myself to Paul in any way because I am human and do not see myself as one sitting in a cell beaten, whipped, and stoned to get the message across to some poor deluded fool who wants to kick against the pricks.

I look forward to posting here but I will abide by any decision that this web master makes. Anyone can email me too to express your personal opinions as to how or what I should say in the future. Let me know if the use of the terms cult, cultic, demon/demonic, satan/satanic, or any other term is offensive and I will only ask you why that is, I don't understand why calling a spade a spade is out of line in this forum.

Looking forward to your personal opinions at cjlump@bellsouth.net.

There I go with another double-post. Sorry about that.

I just got back from church and immediately after service, we got to see a wedding ceremony, Sister Dot said that she wouldn't be attending our Annual Widow's Luncheon today, AMEN, she left the church building to go have lunch with her new husband!!!

It was another wonderful day in church, first the Sunday School lesson and then the great, as usual, sermon that followed. Brother Mills spoke on "Satan's Fishing Trip" and really preached a good message all about the tactics used by Satan to lure us away from the truth.

How many of you ever noticed the word "lure" and compared it to fishing lures? Funny thing how Jesus told his fishermen disciples that he would make them "fishers of men" and all through God's word we hear the word "water" over and over again. The story of Peter walking on the water was an analogy of sorts in that as long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he could stay "above" his troubles of this world, but when he took his eyes off of Jesus and started looking at the water/world, the water began to "pull" him in. Our preacher spoke about how we are fish in the world and Satan has many "lures" that he can throw out there to us and if we are not careful, Satan will get us "hooked" and that is when we mess up. I wonder if that is why we say I got "hooked" on this or that, guess that is something to think about, huh?

The preacher used these verses to preach from and I wanted to convey some of what he said here:
Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (The first point was that Jesus had just been baptized and was filled with the Holy Ghost and we notice that immediately Satan stepped in to start the temptation in much the same way that he does each of us as we claim the victory in Jesus, Satan hates it when he knows he has lost us for good and that is when he strikes, WHEN WE ARE ON A SPIRITUAL HIGH.
4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. The second point that was made is that Satan hits us (WHEN WE ARE WEAK) Jesus hadn't eaten in forty days and was physically weak and how many of us are weak just from the daily stresses of life?
4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. (Note: the devil said "IF thou be" to challenge his standing with God, doesn't he do the same to us when he makes us doubt our salvation and who we are in Christ? He also told him to COMMAND this stone, he didn't say for him to pray to the father for bread, the point here is that he was wanting Jesus to work in his OWN power without having the faith that God is in full charge of the situation. Isn't that another lure thrown our way, making us think that we have power within ourselves or else making us feel unworthy of any better than what we have because we are such miserable hypocrites? Notice too that Jesus repeatedly used Bible quotes as his ONLY defense which indicates to me, and should to all of us, that the written word is ENOUGH when we use it in FAITH, AMEN?
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
4:7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. (In these temptations, Satan was trying his best to discredit Jesus and had Jesus yielded to any of these temptations, he would have no longer been the perfect lamb without blemish and could not have died for our sins. Jesus was a man and tempted in all points as we but yet was without sin.)
4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
4:9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: (Again Satan said "IF" and challenged him to tempt God by jumping off of a high point to see if the angels would save him)
4:10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: Notice how Satan knows the scripture!!!! He can quote it as good as anyone can or even better but also note that Satan didn't have that Holy Ghost power to DISCERN (1Cr 2:14) what was being done or he would have never taken part in the crucifixion of Christ, he really thought that he had rid himself of Jesus for good when he saw him die on the cross that day, but three days later, wow what a jail break that truly must have been, amen!!!
Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Last but not least, notice that Satan departed from him FOR A SEASON which would indicate that the devil isn't finished, he still has to come as the antichrist to the Jews, and he is still a powerful foe to keep an eye out for because he can appear as an angel of light and his demons also have the power to manifest themselves as "ministers of righteousness" and if that is indeed the case, and if we are Christ's ambassadors, then I feel that we should be about our father's business and that business is to shine a light in the darkness.

This reminds me of another sermon that I heard earlier this week on the radio. That preacher was talking about how it takes light to make a plant grow and if a plant is left in the darkness, it will grow "twisted" and he went on to say that this is the way many people are out in this lost and dying world, they are in darkness and their souls have become twisted to the point that they can't even reach out to the light anymore.

I think that so many people nowadays truly believe that they are saved, but instead they have merely been saved from one evil and have fallen prey to another evil without ever really coming to the full knowledge of God (2Ti 3:7). That was why I mentioned in one of my posts about "out of the frying pan and into the fire" and how we should earnestly seek God through the Holy Spirit and ask him to lead us into spiritual truth.

We shouldn't be tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine (2Ti 4:3). A sad fact is that many just simply cannot endure sound doctrine anymore and think that everyone with a candle is trying to burn them instead of shedding light on their pathway to spiritual truth.

The Bible says that in these last days that Satan and his demons will be denied access to the heavenlies and will come down to earth with ALL THEIR FURY and Satan is now at work making war with the saints, it is a demonic and satanic attack that doesn't even want us to use these terms, how ridiculous these days to speak out against sin and become labeled as someone involved in "hate" crimes when all we want to do is bear one another's burdens and try to enlighten one another to Satan's lies and deception.

All of us who have been truly born again can feel the waters being rippled with the lures being cast in and all too often we take the bait without even realizing until it is too late that the hook is set in our mouth and the devil is reeling us in.

I know this is a long post and hope that you didn't get too bored with the reading. After hearing the Sunday School lesson this morning, I think I will start a new thread up and call it "Unity" and will expound on the seven unities that the church as a whole is suppose to have.

God bless,

Janice

I thought that this should be posted in the rature thread. I posted it in Was John the Baptist really Elijah thread last week. It's for those who might read on the rapture in the future if they have not read it yet.

This is the most interesting thing Iíve ever read in Ezek. 42:1,2 and Ezek.41:5-7. The temples design resembles the construction of Noahís ark that both foreshadow the rapture. Anyway here is what I got and how this strengthens what I have been trying to say in the book I wrote.

Ezekiel 41

Dimensions of the Sanctuary

Measurements and Design of the Temple Area
1. Then he brought me into the sanctuary and measured the doorposts, six cubits wide on one side and six cubits wide on the other side--the width of the tabernacle.
2. The width of the entryway was ten cubits, and the side walls of the entrance were five cubits on this side and five cubits on the other side; and he measured its length, forty cubits, and its width, twenty cubits.
7. As one went up from story to story, the side chambers became wider all around, because their supporting ledges in the wall of the temple ascended like steps; therefore the width of the structure increased as one went up from the lowest story to the highest by way of the middle one.

Ezekiel 42
5. Now the upper chambers were shorter, because the galleries took away space from them more than from the lower and middle stories of the building.
6. For they were in three stories and did not have pillars like the pillars of the courts; therefore the upper level was shortened more than the lower and middle levels from the ground up.
7. And a wall which was outside ran parallel to the chambers, at the front of the chambers, toward the outer court; its length was fifty cubits.

I see these three chambers that are built one on the bottom being smaller then the middle larger then the third chamber larger still with the middle and the top having beams on the outside so that they do not go through the temple as not only in Christ resurrection and ascension but in our being caught up also.

The small chamber would represent Jesus when He was on the earth then after He was crucified He rose on the third day. From the third day to Pentecost representing the middle chamber. From the third day to Pentecost Jesus appear in His physical body while being resurrected from the dead. Just like the middle chamber had beams connected to the earth so to Jesus appeared in His physical body.

Right after Jesus ascended into heaven after the time between the Feast of Passover and the Feast of Pentecost, ěI believe that was fourty daysî would represent Jesus going up and into the upper chamber. Jesus received a glorified body and within a very short period of time sent the Holy Spirit into the upper room and filled the believers there at the time. Now the top chamber also had beams to the earth to support the chamber. When the church was born on the day of Pentecost it became the physical body of Jesus Christ on the earth while Jesus has a Spiritual and glorified body in heaven. Now how I the three chambers applied for us in our own spiritual journey.

When we become born again we enter into Christ as new born babes and our life is hidden in Christ as we abide in Him. This also represents the lower and smaller chamber. The smaller chamber was total on the earth and when we are young in the Lord we are still very earthly, carnal, or the flesh what ever you want to call it, but we have by faith entered into the Kingdom of God and seated in heavenly places in Christ.

As we grow in the Lord we are strengthened by the Holy Spirit we forsake worldly things and experience living as over comers in Christ as we abide in Him and His Spirit in us. This would represent entering into the middle chamber. It takes time to grow spiritually. In the old covenant the age of accountability was around twelve. Just like Jesus gave time for the churches that He rebuked time to repent and over come. This spiritual grow is seen in:
1 John 2
Their Spiritual State
12 I write to you, little children,
Because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.
13I write to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
Because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children,
Because you have known the Father.
14I have written to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I have written to you, young men,
Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one.

Just like the church of Sardis had some who were worthy and walked with Jesus in white we as over comers do. Note we are with Him just like meeting Him in the clouds in the air. The only problem is it is still very easy to go down a flight of stairs and walk as babes in the Lord.

The church of Philadelphia on the other hand enters a door that now one shut and they no more go in and out. This is a picture of entering into the top chamber and becoming a pillar of support for the glorified body of Jesus Christ that returns through the pillars to rule the nations for 1000 years ědonít forget the top chamber had beams that went down to the earthî. The church of Philadelphia will have people who say they are Jews but are not bow down to them, picture of bowing down to Christ and confessing Him as Lord. Itís a hard concept to receive that Jesus Christ will return through those that over come. But what was one man manifested as God in the flesh now many and world wide. As we grow into been like fathers who have known Him we enter into a more authoritative role in the body of Christ. In like manner it took thirty years before a man could enter into ministry in the old covenant it takes time to grow and mature in the Lord to the point that we no longer have any desires that would hold us back.

The only things that may hold a over comer from being a manifested Son of God is fear and unbelief in that Jesus wants to manifest Himself through them. That is why Paul said that the man of sin must be taken out of the way. If you are waiting for an antichrist to appear to rule the world it has already happened. We also rule our own little world when we let the old man have his way.

This was witting based on Sabra writing below:

By Sabra (Sabra) on Friday, March 28, 2003 - 08:39 am:

Brad,

A friend of mine wrote this, check out his connecting of Elijah and the rapture:

Genesis 6:14-16 - "Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. (15) This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. (16) Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above; and set the door of the ark in its side; make it with lower, second, and third stories."

I searched for things that have these measurements. I was unable to find anything with the length of 300 cubits. You'll see it's length is 3 times longer than the chambers of the temple. I have a couple us guesses why, but since the Spirit has not revealed that part to me yet, I will keep them to myself. The rest though is remarkable. Let's continue onward.

John 14:2-3 - "There are many rooms in my Father's house, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly. (3) When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am."

Isaiah 26:20-21 - (20) "Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the wrath is past. (21) For behold, the LORD is coming forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed upon her, and will no more cover her slain."

We must remember though, that this picture the ark gives us is a picture of the chambers of the earthly Temple, not the Temple that will come down from heaven. The Temple that comes down from heaven will be much larger. The one on earth is only a model, or a shadow of the one to come. Just as Adam was created as a pattern for the second Adam to come, who was and is Christ. Christ is much larger, in body and spirit, for we are His body and we also have His spirit living in us.

Ezekiel 42:1-2 - "Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the north. (2) Before the length of an hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits."

Ezekiel 41:5-7 - "Then he measured the wall of the temple, six cubits thick; and the width of the side chambers, four cubits, all around the temple. (6) The side chambers were in three stories, one over another, (thirty) in each story. There were offsets all around the wall of the temple to serve as supports for the side chambers, so that they should not be supported by the wall of the temple. (7) The passageway of the side chambers widened from story to story; for the structure was supplied with a stairway all around the temple. For this reason the structure became wider from story to story. One ascended from the bottom story to the uppermost story by way of the middle one."

This part I could not have understood without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I've never seen anyone build wider stories as they go upward. This is beautiful!! Look at this awesome picture!! The three stories represent the three heavens.
The 1st floor (1st heaven), represents the air we breathe and where birds fly and our clouds, under the ozone layer. The middle floor (2nd heaven), probably runs from the ozone layer to the end of the Ionosphere, from 12-250 miles out. And the third floor (3rd heaven), from 250 miles to unlimited outerspace. The first two heavens are bound by time as they rotate around the sun. But the 3rd heaven is God's glory and is not bound by time, nor does it rotate around the sun, for eternity lives there. I believe angels are at war in the 2nd heavens, and that means the war is also in our midst as well. They are warring over the souls of men. And we know God's Throne and His temple are in the 3rd heavens. We'll want to come back to this later, when we take a look at how the rapture will happen.

Here's another picture of the three stories:
1 Kings 6:6 - "The lowest story {was} five cubits wide, and the middle {was} six cubits wide, and the third {was} seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets {in the wall} of the house all around in order that {the beams} would not be inserted in the walls of the house."

Proof that the ark was a copy or model of Bridal chambers:
Psalms 104:3-8 - (3) "who hast laid the beams of thy chambers on the waters, who makest the clouds thy chariot, who ridest on the wings of the wind, (4) who makest the winds thy messengers, fire and flame thy ministers. (5) Thou didst set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be shaken. (6) Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. (7) At thy rebuke they fled; at the sound of thy thunder they took to flight. (8) The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place which thou didst appoint for them.

Now lets look at how the rapture will happen according to scripture :

1 Thes. 4:16-17 - "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of {the} archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (17) Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord."

First notice that the Lord descends Himself. He brings no one down with Him. Post trib believers say that He will send His angels to gather His elect from one end of heaven to the other, and that these will come down with Him. This would be the second coming, not the rapture. In the second coming, the whole body of Christ will come down, but in the rapture, only Christ will come down to the second heaven as He calls us up. This is where we will stand before the Son of Man before we are taken up to the 3rd heaven, to the place that He said He was preparing for us. Now lets look at the picture that scripture gives us of how it will actually happen.

1 Kings 6:8 - "The door for the middle side-chambers was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle [story], and out of the middle into the third.

Remember, the stories represent the heavens, but also notice the winding stairs here. Now read on.

Ezekiel 41:7 - "The passageway of the side chambers widened from story to story; for the structure was [b]supplied with a stairway all around the temple. For this reason the structure became wider from story to story. One ascended from the bottom story to the uppermost story by way of the middle one."

Glory to God in heaven!!! Folks, take a real good look at that last sentence in the above scripture. You don't need me to explain it. It stands on it's own!! And the widening stairway as it goes up is a picture of the whirlwind that took Eli'jah up to heaven. I believe the scriptures are telling us that Christ Himself will leave His Fathers Throne and come down to the second heaven, probably down to the ozone layer, just over the clouds, and with a loud command, the dead in Him, followed immediately by those who have remained in Him (not the world) that are still alive will be caught up in the twinkling of an eye. They will be changed from perishable to imperishable and give an account of what they had done in the flesh and they will receive crowns and robes. Then they will be ushered into the Temple in heaven, into the upper rooms, where they will feast, break bread and drink the new wine that Jesus said He would not drink again until He drank it with His disciples in His Kingdom.

2 Kings 2:11-12 - " And as they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Eli'jah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. (12) And Eli'sha saw it and he cried, "My father, my father! the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!" And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and rent them in two pieces.

Notice first that the two friends (Eli'jah and Eli'sha) were separated here. Many people don't like this idea, but it is a picture of the five wise and five foolish virgins, of which only the wise were ready for the Bridegroom. The two friends names sound the same when you pronounce them, but one is greater by far. This is another clue for another article later.

2 Kings 2:12 - "And Eli'sha saw it and he cried, "My father, my father! the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!" And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and rent them in two pieces."

Luke 13:25 - "When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open for us,' and He will answer and say to you, 'I do not know you, where you are from,"

The Rapture of the Church
An online devotional from InTouch 02/15/03
Too often, the terms "Rapture" and "Second Coming" are used interchangeably, but they are in fact two entirely separate events. Let us review several vital distinctions between them.

1. The Rapture occurs before the Tribulation (I Thess. 4:16-17), but the Second Coming comes at the end of this period. (Matt. 24:29-31)

2. At the Rapture, all believers on earth will be taken into heaven, but at the time of the Second Coming, God's gathered people will remain on the earth. (I Thess. 4:17)

3. The Rapture is not a time of judgment for the earth, while the Second Coming brings God's full judgment to the world. (Rev. 14:7)

4. The timing of the Rapture is completely unknown (Matt. 24:36-41), but the Second Coming will be marked by several predicted signs. (Matt. 24:29-30)

5. The Rapture is not mentioned in the Old Testament, but the Second Coming and Day of Judgment are referenced there. (Zechariah 14)

6. The description of the Rapture makes no mention of Satan, but he will be bound and cast into the lake of fire at the Second Coming. (Rev. 20:2,19)

As we look toward these times, we must focus our attention on Christ, anticipating His return. And as faithful disciples, we must make evangelism an active part of our lives. We have a message that others need to hear. We must strive to share it while there is still time.

I HOPE THAT THIS DEVOTIONAL IS INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING CLEAR UP A LOT OF THE CONFUSION THAT HAS ENTERED INTO THE STUDY OF THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH, AND ANOTHER GOOD IDEA WHEN STUDYING THESE SUBJECTS WOULD BE TO LEARN TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN WHO GOD "WILL BE" DEALING WITH AND WHO JESUS "HAS ALREADY DEALT WITH".

Good night for now,
Janice
