Gee Sabra, I am jealous of your site, I haven't learned how to do links in the particular program that I was given to construct my site in. I have the Microsoft Word web page builder and my school book to go by but it isn't compatible because I can't get the picture of us to edit into the home page. I would love to find out how to build files on my computer and make a link in their web builder program but am absolutely shocked that I made it this far to be honest. Check mine out too at www.theLumkinhome.com but the best I can offer is the about us page which gives an email address to write us in.

Janice, Your site is great! I got the easiest deal with geocities and it's free and any idiot can do it, I did! I have 2 other pages linked up now and I'm still adding, too fun for me! I know the pop-ups are annoying, especially the Pshycic one! Good grief! But maybe if I get some traffic on there I'll pay for a no add site.

Sabra, The audio link that you emailed me is AWESOME, amen. Maybe you should put that in your web site too, or have you already? Guess I need to check it out again, huh? This soldier's story is just so touching and with the background music and little kids talking, how about that kid's dad receiving his own's sons "letter to a soldier" through that school project? Wow, and to hear the President with his final comment, tears are flowing now as I listen to it, truly awesome.

P.S.--This is not a rebuke to you and your post, just a clarification of sorts. When you mentioned to Carol about "just tell them that the righteous aren't judged" was good but thought I would throw in some enlightenment on the subject of judgment.
Fact: The RIGHTEOUS (those who are hid by the blood of Christ) will certainly not stand at the "Great White Throne judgment" where all the sinners will give an account of what they did with Jesus prior to being bound hand and foot and cast into the lake of fire; however, we Christians will indeed stand before Jesus at his judgment, but this judgment will be to receive our rewards for our good works while having our bad/unprofitable works burned away. It will be a refining fire like gold passing through the fire to destroy the impurities since nothing unclean enters into heaven, but just listen to this truth found in God's promise, amen: 1Cr 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself SHALL BE SAVED; yet so as by fire.

This, once again, is PROOF from the very word of God that the true child of God will never "lose" our standing with the father.

Here are some "excerpts" from my devotional study: Salvation has NOTHING to do with OUR behavior, but it has EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE "GRACE" OF GOD, the love of God, the goodness of God, the Mercy of God, and the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST, and this is cause for CELEBRATION!!!!

We are eternally secure in our Lord. There is not a single verse anywhere in Scripture indicating we were saved only for a season. The Bible plainly says: The Lord gives believers eternal life, and we will NEVER perish (John 10:28); we are "sealed for the day of redemption," which means the ultimate day when God calls us home. (Ephesians 4:30) We are assured that no one can snatch us out of our heavenly Father's hand. (John 10:27-30)

This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of ALL that He has GIVEN Me "I LOSE NOTHING, but raise it up on the last day" (John 6:39)

I will end this post with this final paragraph to consider: If you have any doubts about being eternally secure, then answer this question: IF YOU ARE NOT SAVED FOREVER, THEN JUST HOW LONG ARE YOU SAVED? UNTIL YOU DON'T "FEEL" SAVED ANYMORE? UNTIL THE NEXT TIME YOU SIN? GOD DOESN'T HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE FOR YOUR SALVATION BECAUSE THERE IS NO EXPIRATION DATE ON GOD HIMSELF, AND HE IS THE ONE WHO HAS "PROMISED" THAT HE "SEALED" YOU UNTIL THE DAY OF REDEMPTION. (Ephesians 4:30) If God SEALS something, there is NO POWER in the entire universe capable of "unsealing" it, least of all a mere mortal and certainly not Satan, so, please quit listening to his lies that you can lose it, that is allowing him to rob you of your joy, why spend your life in misery while fighting with the brethren that you claim to have kinship with, amen!!! Those who trust Christ as Savior also are justified, meaning that God doesn't count their sin against them. This allows them to ENJOY a "relationship" with their heavenly Father, whose perfect holiness would not have allowed such fellowship beforehand. Instead, God has credited the very righteousness of Christ to the account of every believer. (this is what the word SURETY is all about) That is what God sees when He looks at us now. He sees everything in light of the Cross. To "justify" may be defined this way: Justification is a "declarative" act. It is not something wrought in man, but something declared "by God" about a saved man. When God declares that you are justified, He is declaring for eternity that you are acceptable in His sight. He does this because of His great GRACE, and you accept it by FAITH.

We can have PEACE with God because we have been justified through the works of Jesus on Calvary's Cross, and NO ONE can EVER take that away from us.

Have a wonderful Easter tomorrow and share the day in the Lord's house with fellow "believers".

Amen and amen,
Saved by grace+nothing.
Janice

Amen, that is the Bema judgement and we will receive rewards from that one, and I think jewels for our crowns will be given then too!

Yes, I have heard two different sermons about the crowns that we will receive at the Bema Judgment. I think there are seven different ones but can't list them right now, but praise God we will all have at least one crown, the believer's crown, to lay at our Savior's feet.

I heard a wonderful Easter message today, and the preacher was so impressed with the email story that I sent him this week that he incorporated it into his Easter message. Was it you Sabra that sent me the story about the apple? It was a great story about an old black man that asked a question to a guest speaker concerning an apple, but I won't put it here now, maybe later. It did get into the message very nicely though. I was flattered that he thought enough of it to use it and didn't even mention my name as being the one who sent it to him, funny now that I think of it, it could have been a lesson in humility to see if I would get ill at the fact that "I" wasn't given any recognition at all. He told me in an email that he was going to use it but usually he just reads something that we email him and then goes to his sermon afterwards. It was great to hear it all tie in though.

Watching Doc now, didn't get back from Alabama soon enough to get back to church. I love the PAX TV network, it is full of wonderful family programs and I noticed another movie I wanted to watch at 9:00. Got to go for now.

BEMA judgement scripture:

2 Cor 5:7-10 We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I (Paul) say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please Him (Jesus), whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat (Greek 968 BEMA) of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Romans 14:10b-12 ...For we (believers) will all stand before God's judgment seat (968 BEMA). It is written: "`As surely as I live,' says the Lord, `every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'" (Isaiah 45:23) So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

1 Cor. 4:1-5 So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I (Paul) care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

Sabra, Thank you for that information. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't that come from a concordance that expounds on Bible language and not from some book on "Baptist" doctrine?

Yeah, I know where you got it, amen. It came from God as he moved men indwelt with the Holy Spirit that in turn agreed with our Holy Spirit in us to help us understand, right?

Oh yes, praise God and I will get back to this spot as time permits and talk to everyone about the "four" judgment seats, just in case some of us haven't been schooled in that subject yet and who just may want to study to show themselves APPROVED, amen.

Janice

P.S.--I quoted correctly by saying approved, I used to misquote it by saying accepted, but we are already accepted the moment we accept our gift of salvation from God, but we have to remember that we need that FULL armour to fight the devil with.
