My twin grandbabies were born earlier today. They were born healthy, adorable and they are very nice little children. They were born in Germany. The girl was born first weighing in at 5 pounds 4 ounces at 8:37 p.m. Her brother came next at 8:45 p.m. and weighed 6 pounds 1 ounce. My daughter-in-law had no problems and they came out the way babies are ment to come out. My son made it to his wifes side in plenty of time to be with her while the babies were born. I am so thankful for that as he had to fly from Greece to Germany to be with his wife. I am happy he was there by her side. I will get to meet my grandbabies in August. I am happy to report the family is fine. Very tired. Their 5 year old little girl now has a baby brother and a baby sister. Oh! I am so blessed. Three grandchildren now to love. Tonight life seems just grand! Praise God for the blessing of new little children to love. As our Lord said, "Blessed be the little children to come unto me".

Praise God for healthy babies and they are a good weight for twins. I take care of a twin brother and sister where I work and they are so precious. They are only 3 months old and are starting to be real little people. God is so good and as we think of what He did for us this day and about this hour, as it is 3:00pm where I am, we have an awesome God, Father, Daddy.

May you and your grandtwins have a wonderful life together. Love to you as one grandmother to another, Carol

Please, keep my daughter-in-law in your prayers as she has been running a fairly high fever. They won't give her anything stronger than Tylenol because she is breast-feeding the babies. Other than that the family is fine. Thanks to all of you for sharing my joy.

Susan2, as a nurse I am concerned about her fever. Is it from Mastitis (breast infection) or Uterine infection? How high is it and what are they doing for it? Anti-biotics I hope. Let me know.

Susan, I second Pheeki's concern even though I'm not a nurse. Please find out her diagnosis and how they're treating her and let us know.

My daughter-in-law just tested positive for Strep B at her last week appoitment. It is something they are doing routine now, testing that is.

She will be put on antibiotics as soon as she goes into labor and then the baby will be watched very closely for any form of the strep B and if confirmed will also be given antibiotics. She will be nursing also so this is a concern. There is a possilbilty it could be serious even death sometimes for the baby but I am confident that under the watchful eye of trained Drs. OB and PEDS and nurses that every thing will go OK

Just made me wonder if this could be any of your daughter-in-law's problem, Strep B I mean. I pray that all goes well. From experience with nursing I know how situations can be difficult but when they are gotten under control it is the most wonderful experience and so very easy, no formula and its always with you. The only problem is that middle of the night feeding which I could not turn over to my husband. That has all been worked out in this day and age with excellant breast pumps so that even Dad can help in those middle of the night feedings.

Praise God for the miracle of life and the best of health care, Carol

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and your genuine concern. I spoke with my son last night by telephone and his wife is doing much better. They put her on some medicine and it is greatly helping. He didn't seem to know what the medicine is or even to be too courious, as that is the medical personelle's job. I have found from being around many, many military people that they nearly all have the attitude, "I will do mu job and I will do my job 100% the best it can be done. Also, you do your job and I won't question your decisions"> My son has been in the Navy nearly 12 years. He KNOWS his wife is getting the best care available in the world and that is good enough for him. He is totally 100% in love with his babies. Last night on the phone I told him, "Think about how much you love those babies and then after you have thought about how deep your love for your babies is then I want to tell you something." He thought and then he said, "O.k., Mom, I thought about how much I love my babies. Now what do you want to tell me?" And, I told him, "Sweetheart, that is how much I love you and I always want you to know that". I told him this because I really believe a child will not be able to comprehend their parents love for them until they, too are parents.

Susan,

You are so very right and that was a wonderful way to start a new relationship with your son. My children are 38,36,34 and on their last birthdays I gave them a note about their birth day and each one was blown away by it.

At the end of that note I said "and the best part of all is watching you do it all over again".

It brings you in such a different relationship with your children when they have their own, not better just different.

God bless you and your precious granddaughter and grandson.

Love in Christ, Carol
