Hello Everyone,

I just witnessed something that I sure wasn't ready for!

There was a mega-phone and a man speaking Spanish on it, very loud. This caught my attention and while I was making my way to my door, I hear "Christo."

And I hear "GET UP!!"

Finally at my door, I open it and there is a crowd of people walking all around this man. He is dressed in a white robe, from head to feet, carrying a HUGE wooden cross.

And as he stumbles to his knees, he is lashed with whips from some of the crowd and spit upon as they yell "GET UP!!"

He gets up and they continue but change languages to English. The crowd was chanting "CRUCIFY HIM!! CRUCIFY HIM!!"

Another man hits him, knocking him down and again the words "GET UP!!"

This continued right in front of me and as I watched, all the neighbors came out of their doors and the cars all stopped in the street.

The voices went into the distance, down to this park about 1/2 block from me and now I hear Police Cars as the Gospel is being Preached to the gathered crowd.

I've never seen anything like that in my entire life and it sent chills through me.

Denise Gilmore

P.S. There are far more details than this, but this is adequate for now. I can't type--in thought.

God Bless him!

There was a man who walked all over town carrying a cross when I lived in Columbia TN and another little guy who stood on the road waiving at cars with a sign that said Jesus lives --I think or something like that. I just love people like that!

Denise, I have got goose bumps all over me just imaging waking up to such a scene. Imagine how the followers of Christ must have felt when they actually saw Jesus coming down the street and barely recognizable from his cruel beatings! Yes, I think I will quit typing too and meditate on what that was like, the same feelings rushed through me the very first time I witnessed The Passion Play being performed in Atlanta, sitting in the darkness while hearing hammering and moaning and then the curtain rises and a cross is dropped into a hole with a loud "thug" is very sobering indeed. Oh but when the final act came up and he ascended up in the clouds and the heavenly angels started blowing their trumpets and the choir broke out with the rendition of "hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah hallelujah, hallelujah,.........

forever, forever, forever.

Hal Lindsey said some interesting things on his show last night. I like him, remember well when he was the "freak that wrote the late great planet earth" HA!

He said the linens that Jesus was wrapped in would have been hard like shallaq and I obviously don't know how to spell that! He said the Jews would wrap the body, but not the face and the oil used for annointing turned the linens into a very hard, cast like covering so when the disciples saw the empty tomb they would have seen a headless cocoon, that way it was obvious that the body wasn't stolen. Interesting anyways.
