I have been busy over weekend with our granddaughter and strep myself on Thursday and New grandson born on Friday 9Lbs. 7oz..

Everything seems fine except for Jaundice which is pretty high count but it has moved down this Am so we are hopeful they can go home soon.

What a blessing a precious life is and now we have 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. Life is wonderful and even more wonderful because I know who holds the future.

God Bless You All, Carol

Carol, praise God for new life even in the middle of sadness and loss. Is this birth doing anything to draw your son-in-law toward the family?

Continuing to pray for you,

Colleen

Colleen,

Thanks for asking. Since the boys were with thier father this weekend he brought them to see the baby.

The baby is home now and sister is trying to cope with her world thrown way off its axis. She will be OK she has a very patient Mother, my daughter-in-law who is a early education teacher.

Carol, All of mine had jaundice, they looked so pretty andtan and olive skinned, but a few days in front of the window and they were little pale white children, except for my son who did get to stay olive--he makes us girls sick!

Hope your strep gets better, are you taking an antibiotic? I'v been sick with a flu thing since Friday, fever and stomach yuck, better this afternoon.

Congratulations on the babies!!

Oh ya I've been on the highest dose 875 milligrams of amoxicilin and the tablets are so big that someone with a normal throat would have difficulty taking them but so far they have'nt choked me to death. I thought the first dose might just send me to the promised land but I'm still here. I'm feeling much better thank you. My biggest problem was not knowing for sure if I would be able to be there when the baby was born. Since I had been on meds 24 hours and felt somewhat better I was able to be there when he was born at 8:40 P.M. It wouldn't have bothered me so much but I knew my son wanted me there.

Mine had some jaundice too but this little(big) guys was a little higher than they liked and he was sent home with a bilie blanket. He is lite up like a glow worm.

Sister isn't showing any signs of improvement on the attitude issue and Mom is showing signs of caving but in a week everything will be into a normal swing. Been there done it 3 times.

Thanks for all your concern and prayers, Carol

My husband's dad died last night. He had a heart transplant 11 years ago and they said it would last 8-10 years so we knew but it is hard. He was kinda like the dad I never had and the funeral is tomorrow night and then Thursday my mom is coming up for mother's day, guess she'll be going to church with me :) This should be exciting posting by Monday.

Pray for my husband, he is having a hard time.:(

We just started a series on Abba Father at church, which really is great timing.

Blessings to all,
Sabra

Sabra,

Having been thru the deaths of both my husband's father and mother and my own father I will be praying for the emptiness to be filled , not removed but filled with more of God.

I remember when my father died and my son who is now the father of this new baby was only 6 he would go out to my parents farm and when he heard the pigs squeeling he would just cry. I think it was a way he remebered grandpa and he still to this day is a very emotional person having just cried buckets with the birth of this precious boy.

I remember telling my children that we must not forget grandpa and then my oldest said but it's so hard to remember. Yes it is but it is also healing.

I know the pain of listening for the footsteps coming up the stairs after my father would come in from work on the farm and as I relate almost 30 years later tears are streaming down my face.

I had a wonderful opportunity to visit with my Dad a few days before he died about what its all about and I am confident he knew where he was going.

Death is not easy but for us who know the future it is not the end and I look forward with blessed hope of seeing those I love some day in a way that only God has the plans for and of which if we knew would never understand.

Peace and comfort to your husband and you, Carol

Congratulations on the new little baby. It is such a blessing. And she is a good size. My condolences on the death of your father-in-law. We are all sick here. My mom has been in the hospital now two days and will probably come home tomorrow. She is having her first and hopefully her last asthma attack. Pnomionia is going around in my neighborhood very much. I have been off work two days now with bronchitis. I am taking Zithromax.

Thanks Susan,

I would like to say that things are going much better, baby is off bilie blanket and sister is becoming more acclimated to new baby brother and shows many signs of loving him such as my son called this morning and as we were talking he said thank you to his daughter as she stopped the swing to give brother a kiss and then started it up again.

May God be praised, Carol
