The Association of Adventist Forums (San Diego Chapter) has announced that on Saturday, February 14, 2004 at 3 pm, Dr. Jack Gent, a retired octogenarian surgeon, will be their featured speaker. The host church is the Tierrasanta SDA Church, 11260 Clairemont Mesa Blvd.; San Diego, CA. The presentation is aptly titled, "Enigmas about Ellen."

Dr. Gent states in the February issue of the AAF newsletter, "Following my retirement in 1990, I have been on a concentrated study to convince my Baptist friends that I could prove SDA beliefs from the Bible alone. In this supposition I had always believed--until I tried to prove it! About ten years ago the structure started to come unglued and by eight years ago I quit trying to prove the un-provable."

Wow! Studying the Bible is quite a watershed experience, isn't it? How interesting.

It is also amazing that Dr. Gent's presentation will take place inside an Adventist church.

Yes, indeed amazing. I have always admired Dr. Gent for his articles one can see on www.ex-sda.com.

If the church is aware of his teaching and approves, then I suspect there is trouble to be had with the GC if this type of action persists at this church.

ADDRESS CORRECTION:

Just a simple correction for those planning to log unto the xsda website. The website address is: www.xsda.net (not com). I have inadvertently made the same error myself in times past. Thanks for sharing this information, Jerry.

Hi Dennis,

Are you correcting the address I gave?

We may be talking about two different sites.

I have not had time to see if your address has Dr. Gentís articles as well, but the one I gave definitely does.

Yours may be more current. But several of Dr. Gentís articles definitely can be found at www.ex-sda.com

Jerry,

My sincere apologies! We are talking about two DIFFERENT websites. You are correct about Dr. Gent's articles appearing at www.ex-sda.com and NOT at www.xsda.net. Thank you for pointing out my error.
