NOT PASSIVE, THE GOSPEL PRODUCES!

Summary of my multiple-post Bible study
above on what the Gospel does. The Gospel:

* Gives the Holy Spirit.
* Sanctifies.
* Fills you with goodness.
* Completes your spiritual knowledge.
* Establishes you in Jesus Christ.
* Empowers you beyond human wisdom.
* Enables you to become a spiritual parent to
other believers.
* Blesses you.
* Seals you with the Holy Spirit who
guarantees your eternal inheritance.
* Generates hope, faith and love.
* Brings peace.
* Unifies all believers.
* Heals.
* Enables you to instruct other believers.
* Results in lives changed for the better.
* Transforms lives and by enabling
obedience.
* Produces worthy conduct.
* Bears fruit.

Hi Patti,

I guess that I need to ask a question that needs either a simple "yes" or simple "no" answer.

You said:

<<Salvation by:
Christ's righteousness alone>>

Do you EVER recall me saying ANYTHING different??

YES_______ NO________

I really would like a ONE WORD post as an answer.

ONCE ETERNALLY SAVED, YOU GO TO WAR!

Salvation is no more passive than the gospel
is!

Ephesians 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with
all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in
mind, be alert and always keep on praying for
all the saints.

Once you have salvation you never lose it. It is
like a helmet. But while you are wearing the
helmet you don't just sit around, you go to war!

Though we "wrestle not against flesh and
blood, we do not swing "the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God" in vain.

Iíve already given notice. So this post is to let
all my cyberfriends out there -- and this
includes ALL without exception -- know that I
love you all and that my reduced presence on
this website has nothing whatsoever to do
with the direction of any discussions, my
desire to ěmake a statementî about anyoneís
cyberbehavior, or anything else except:

TIME CONSTRAINTS.

Positive, new and wonderful changes are
happening in my life. The only unfortunate
thing about them is that they require my
reduced presence here.

I cannot tell you at this time how much time I
will have in future to continue to post -- maybe
briefly once a day, maybe only once a week.
But I will continue to be here.

AND TO LOVE YOU ALL.

I especially want to thank Patti, whom I love in
the Lord. For God has seriously used her to
force me to more-deeply study certain
Scriptures that have only enriched my faith.

Iíll leave you with this: Remember, Paul says
that love is greater and more durable than
even faith.

Love,

Max of the Cross

Now Max!...why did you have to say that about "positive, new, and wonderful changes" happening in your life?!! :-))

I am so curious... I really don't know anything about your occupation... or family... (although I know you've mentioned a daughter), since I miss out on those Friday night feasts of study, food, and conversations!

So what is it? A new job? A new romance? A new move? a new grandchild? A new dog? :-)) :-))

Well, you may not feel free to answer me here...

:-))... but anyway,

Grace always!

I fully understand where Max is coming from, although I don't know what all of his personal commitments are.

I myself 'gave notice' a long time ago. Like Max, I don't feel the need to explain what all of my other commitments are--but they are huge. I post here as the Lord gives opportunity in my schedule. The fact that a person doesn't say a lot in cyber-fellowship is no indication of being 'snooty.'

Billtwisse, I agree! :-)) I may have appeared prying, but I understand; and would never think Max was being 'snooty'! :-))

I will be content to learn more of everyone's story in heavenly places, without the limitations of 'cyberfellowship'. :-))

Grace always,

Hy Brethren and Sisteren:
It seems as though the MAX GIVES NOTICE DICUSSION THREAD has become the ALL WHO WANT TO GIVE NOTICE GIVE NOTICE HERE...
As such, I am giving, guess what??? NOTICE:

I will not post ANYMORE, until I post again!!!

I've got a lot to do as well! I am a husband, a father, a professional, a minister, I have three kids (all adults living with me just like in Bible days...), a Golden Retriever (this is the one who looks like me the most) and a OLD BUICK!

As you see, I WILL BE THE FIRST ONE TO SAY WHY I AM SO BUSY!

So, henceforth, I will NOT POST AGAIN UNTIL I POST AGAIN!

SO... AS THE OLD HYMN SAYS:

God be with you till I post again....etc.

You're a kick, GA! Did you say, "AS THE OLD
[BENNY] HYMN SAYS . . . ."? Wanna revise
that?

God uses you, GA, uses you . . . .

Yup! I wanna change that!!!

I meant that which we sing in Churches to lullaby our numbing slumber... Like when they say, "lets sing the 447 first stanzas of page number 2043...

I hope it was not Freudian and that I was not BETRAYED by my subconscient!

By the way, I could finish the "song" but people would find it irreverent, I could go this way:
(...but of course I will not since some of my brethren ans sisteren might find it "not funny"...)

TILL WE POST TILL WE POST
TILL WE POST AGAIN
TILL WE POST UNTIL WE'RE FILLED WITH...

Then I could not find any word that "fills" us and that rhymes with "POST"...

Any suggestion?

Seriously, I like the way we're gathering up some very good material in this forum. (NO THANKS TO THIS POST, I ADMIT IT...)

Although as of late I did delete the FAF logo from my desktop and reach it now the slow way via browser, I find it very interesting that more and more posts are coming up copied and pasted in my Word processor. Not only those that I agree, but also those that I disagree but do carry a respectable degree of reasoning! So SAINTS, (and those who AIN'T), LET'S NOT BE WEARY IN DOING GOOD BECAUSE OUR LABOR IN THE LORD IS NOT IN VAIN!
KEEP IT UP!

Yo GA!

Hum this (to the tune of "Trust and Obey"):

*RUST AND OBEY

When we work for the church
We'll be left in the lurch
If we choose **Wilson's creed not to sign.
While we do Wilson's will,
work abides with us still
And with all who will rust and obey.
Rust and obey, for there's no other way
To avoid unemployment than to rust and obey.

*Sudden Sound Songsheet. The song was
composed, sung and recorded by disgruntled
SDA college and university professors.

*Neal C. Wilson, longtime SDA world church
general conference president, who fathered
and then "grandfathered in" a an onerous
creed for all North American SDA college and
university teaching personnel to sign.

Max:
HA! HA! HA! HA!

If you're familiar with e-mail lingo, then you know that ROFL means ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING!

Don't get me started, I have a whole book of those!
Such as: (not that you've got me started)

You'll need a southern draw for this one)

Gimme that ol' time religion
Gimme that ol' time religion
gimme that ol' time religion
'tis good enough for me!

Makes me scream shout and holler
Makes me strech my starchy collar
Mames me give my BOTTOM DOLLAR
'tis good enough for me

Makes me love everybody
Makes me love everybody I SEE
Makes me love everybody,
But I close my eyes when you look at me!

and that other one...

THE SERVICE IS SO BORING
I SHALL NOT BE MOVED
THE SERMON IS SO NUMBING
I SHALL NOT BE MOVED
I'LL SIT RIGHT HERE
AND HINDER THOSE AROUND ME...
I SHALL NOT BE MOVED...

Boy, how'd I come up with those??? Well, you ought to travel with me and visit some of the "churches" I visited...

I had some fun with these songs too..

God is my father Jesus is my brother and the blessed Holy Spirit is my Guide, the Devils no relation I am a new creation I'm part of the family in the sky

But if I break the Sabbath and go to the movies, then will I get the mark, I must be good and eat no pork, drink no wine or of the sort then will I meet Him in the sky.
