Hi Sixknights,

What is your story? I for one would like to hear more from you. I have a lot respect for Des, though he really went flat on the Sabbath issue.

Is your mission to minister to SDA's that are uncomfortable with the IJ but don't want to give up the Sabbath?

Thank God for 6nights and 6days and the 7th day rest that all that believe in Him can have for eternity, starting "today." Heb. 4.

Hope to see ya more.

Hey, Six Knights,

Welcome. Interested in your I-net handle. In
chess you get only two knights to fight with.
How come you get to tripple the order?

On the subject of our friend Des Ford, I hear
he's recently retired and moved back to his
Aussieland.

Can you confirm or deny?

Yes, Dr. Des Ford retired to his native Australia. He found a home right on the beach of the Pacific Ocean. Even though I disagree with him on doctrines(like soul-sleep and Sabbath observance), he is still a great scholar and theologian. His ministry is an important bridge for many leaving Adventism.

Here is clip from NEWSWEEK magazine (Jan. 19, 1981) when they quoted Dr. Desmond Ford as follows:

"No scholar seriously believes that Jesus Christ is sitting in heaven turning pages to investigate Christians."

We really do owe Desomnd Ford a great debt of gratitude. What happened at Glacier View really did crack the Adventist complacency, and it brought the issues into much starker clarity in the public view than ever before.

Praise God for his sovereignty!
