If any of you get INSP network, Perry Stone is doing an awesome study on the tabernacle this week every night at 9:00Central.

I'm keeping notes it is so interesting! Blows that sanctuary doctrine right outta the water.

I'll try to post some of it.

There is a lot about the SDA denomnation that never made any sense to me and I'm sure never will. I think my brain is just not wired to understanding SDA doctrine. Having said that I would like someone to answer a question on SDA doctrine for me and I'm sure to some of you the question will seem stupid but it honestly is something I've been wanting explained since I was around 10 years old. Here goes: How come the Adventist church teaches that Jesus lives in an apartment? I mean, this makes no sense. He has all of heaven so why would He choose to live in an apartment? If I had all of heaven I think I'd pick someplace pretty to live in like the Bouchart Gardens or Yosemite, something georgeos. When people ask me what SDA's believe I generally will tell them Jesus is in heaven living in an apartment and this is the #1 main doctrine of the church. People just shake their heads and mumble something about never having heard such a thing and I say that it never registured with me either so I became Lutheran because everything in Lutheran doctrine makes sense to me.

Actually, Susan, they teach that he works in an apartment--the Holy Place until 1844, then moving to the Most Holy Place. The word "apartment" is used to designate the two chambers of the tabernacle. Even though they don't mean he "lives" in an apartment like we think of apartments, it's a crazy-making doctrine that left many of us in fear and guilt until we discovered the truth about Jesus and His finished work!

Praise God!

I never got any of that.

This teaching is so awesome and it is for another week I think.

I will organize my notes and post some of them.

It was always about the blood, not the Sabbath.

I understood this teaching to be part of the IJ doctrine. I had a mental picture of Christ being in a small area, making intercession daily. I had a hard time with it too. It stems from the 2300 years of time until 1844. They believe He then entered into the Holy of Holies and judgment began on the church.
