Your prayers are needed today guys, faith can move mountains!

I am asking for some concentrated prayer, today especially, but all this week.
Our local pregnancy resource center that offers crisis pregnancy testing, counseling education etc. is in dire need of an ultrasound machine (it has been shown that about 98% of abortion-minded young moms choose life instead if they actually see the baby, the beating heart, on the ultrasound machine screen. And Planned Parenthood, though they do ultrasounds, don't show the mothers the pictures or the images on screen.)

THe pregnancy resource center wants to train a few RNs (me included) to do OB ultrasound for the center, to show viability, and to give the moms all the info they need to make some of the most dramatic, life-changing decisions they will ever make.

The problem is that they cost about $25,000. My husband and I are calling some medical supply companies today to ask if they will donate one to us. In reality, the chances are slim. With God, all things are possible! I believe God wants us to be able to minister in this way, so Please join with me in prayer for this today!

Tanya,
I just prayed and asked God to supply your needs. He promises to do that. Hang on to that promise.

I have another prayer request. I have a niece who believes she can talk to her dead mother. She has never given me a name for her beliefs. She says she is spiritual and that she is an atheist. Her name is Kim. She is the daughter of the brother who lives in Montana.
Thanks so much, as I am very concerned about her.
God is awesome,
Diana

Thanks guys!
We have a plan of attack that we feel God has given us for getting this Ultrasound machine. And prayer is the fuel for the mission.

God is so good, we covet your prayers!

Please pray for my niece Kim also. She is an athiest too (raised SDA) and recently got a DWI and has had to quit using substances to knock her conscience down. She has started having nightmares with demons in them and is not getting along with her husband who uses chemicals still (she's sober, he isn't). In one dream, a man rescued her from people hurting her and she felt total love... and he took her somewhere safe, dressed her wounds and let her rest and sleep but in the morning, someone came to her and told her she had to sleep with this man (so it wasn't unconditional love saving her). I think this dream was about God drawing her to Him and Satan saying...no, you can't trust him.

Pray for her...I am sending her some christian music to put on at bedtime and asking her to pray...I don't know if she will or not.

I'm praying now for your nieces, Diana and Pheeki. Your niece's story, Pheeki, is sadly all too common for people raised in Adventism who find they can't live up to its standards and leave, jettisoning God in the process. They equate God with the craziness of Adventism.

Does your niece have any church background, Diana?

Thanks for the update, Tanya. Prayers for your ultrasound continue.

Just yesterday I read a testimony of a man who was raised in Mormonism. Toward the end of his life his Mormon father had such extreme torment that his "nightmares" intruded on his days as well. So this type of thing isn't an isolated event.
I will be praying for your family, Pheeki. And yours, Flyinglady.

My niece Kim is about 35. As far as I know she has no religious background. She knows something of adventism but was not raised in it as my brother did not practice it. She has seen some very poor examples of SDA Christianity in my family. They lived in California and I went east when she a very young and did not meet Kim again until about 5 years ago. Kim was raised most of her younger days by her other grandparents. It is a crazy, mixed up story of two dysfunctional families.
Pheeki, I will pray for your Kim also.
Tanya, God is good so you will get your ultrasound machine. Keep us updated.
God is awesome and will bring our Kims to Him.
Thank God for Jesus.

Hello Everyone. I just received a call from a friend of mine who is in Michigan in prison for a crime that we (his friends) really believe he didn't commit. He just called to tell me that they are pushing for 20-30 years to life and he will be sentenced on the 21st of June. Please pray for God's will to be done here. He really needs a miracle and has to come up with $15,000.00 plus expenses for a mis-trial which they have already filed. (Tons of wrong-doing to file with.) He has passed two lie-detector tests and of course they are not allowed in court. He had a terrible lawyer for the trial. If any of you happen to know who I am talking about, please contact his wife if you can give anything to help with the expense for a new trial. Please pray that the people who have been contacted by letter will be able to help. Thank you and God bless. This is very heavy on my heart.

I want to tell you of an answer to prayer. It is my youngest brother. He studied his Bible and found out about all the things I am learning, since the first of this year, about 8 years ago. He even spoke to an SDA minister about them and the minister agreed with him. Anyway, my brother has joined this forum after I told him about it.
He will be looking for a church to attend. So even though I did not ask you to pray for him, I wanted to share my good news. I will keep you posted on my niece, Kim, and her father, my brother.
Thanks for all your prayers.

Am I every rejoicing!!!! Not only is the brother in Montana studying the Bible with his wife, but now our youngest brother is looking for a church.
I am going to be rebaptized on June 30,2004 and I asked my youngest sister, who lives here in Henderson, to be there. She said she would try.
So, I have a lot to rejoice about.
Pheeki, I continue to pray for your Kim and mine and Kme I continue to pray for your friend.
God is truly awesome.

My extremely immature 18 year old son has a friend who is bad news. I took this kid aside last week and told him very nicely and in private he'd better not do anything illegal at my house as my older son has two strikes against him already and he is due to get released from parole soon and be free so he'd best act in a legal and decent way on my premisis. The little creep said he would be approiate
while at my home. My older son was in his underware sleeping on the living room couch and I was asleep in my pajamas in my bedroom when at 5:30 a.m. today there was a loud banging at my front door. I ran to the door but didn't have my glasses on so could not see or make out who it was but a lady was yelling about some kids stealing her purse from her car while she delivered the newspaper to the house just behind mine. My younger son had got to the door before me and his creep friend ran through our house, out onto my upstairs balcony, jumped off my balcony, threw the paper carriers purse in the trash can in front of the apartments across the street and took off. Me and my older son still were not fully aware of what was going on as it was 5:30 A.M.and this is the commotion we woke up to in our own house. Of course, the paper lady went to the cops and about five minutes later the cops were banging on my front door. Turns out that while creep boy was speeding through my house he left a trail of the paper ladys stolen stuff from her purse in my house. It all happened so fast! The cops came and just tore up my house looking for a lot of stuff that is non-existant here and left my house a big mess for us to clean up. The cops were fairly decent until my older son disclosed to them that he was on felony parole, which he is required to do anytime he comes in police contact. Immediatelly the cops turned into rabid dogs and we all knew they would send my son away for a long time for nothing he had to do with or even knew about. I went over to my older son very calmly and quitely and hugged him and told him I love him. The cop told me to get away from my son. Again I quietly hugged him and told him I love him and at this very nano-second the cop in charge yelled at the other cops to cuff me, arrest me and take me to the police car to be processed down at the station. The cop twisted my arm real bad and barefoot and in my p.j.'s he had me get in the backseat of the cop car. Then they put my older son in his boxers in the backseat of a different cop car and finily after around 30 minutes they arressted my 18 year old and put him in with me. Then the paper carrier lady came by and looked in the cop cars and told the officers my older son had nothing to do with it so they let him out of the car. They took me and my 18 year old to the station and I was in a cold, cement holding room for around two hours until they finily got around to fingerprinting me and taking my picture. Then they let me go. I have a felony charge of interfering with a police officer in the line of duty, or something like that. I have to go to court in several weeks but I am not at all concerned about me as I have never ever been in trouble before today. I am though very concerned about my older son. He has not been in any trouble with the law in around two years and has been doing so good and I love him so much. Because he was in the premisis of stolen property he could get 25 to life. All because of a punk in the neighborhood who knew the paper delivery lady's routine and he was waiting for her to get out of her car so he could steal her purse. My older son went to his parole agent and gave her a statement. My 18 year old is angry because I have made it 100% clear to him it will be years, if ever that he ever has another friend on my property. Please, pray for the parole agent and anyone else who will be reviewing the events that they realize it would not be right to send my older son down for his. Also, we need the Lord's intervention that creep boy gets picked up as I gave his name and description to the cops. Also, my youngest son is headed down a bad path and please pray that he makes some wiser choices from here on out. Oh, it was a bad day!
