I'm still praying for all of you in FL. Prayed as we watched the news as it came through, thinking of you all down there, and everyone who has family.

Hope to hear from you soon!

I'm also continuing to pray, and I'm also praying re: the new storm forming, that if it's God's will, it will break up or be stopped in some way from causing more damage.

I appreciate all your prayers. In my county, we were hit hard, for an interior county. Last report I've seen quotes about 1600 homes with some form of damage, with lots of trees down and flooding. I was fortunate. No structure damage, and minimal landscape damage. We only lost TV cable for a day (no loss) and we just got phone service back last night, after loosing it on Sunday. Tens of thousands have no utilities of any kind. Florida in September without running water and electricity to run A/C, is not a real sweet smelling experience!

Krista, How did you make out, where you are. I'm in Marion County. I hope you faired well.

Times like this make me so proud of the people of this state, and so humble to be in the care of a wonderful and sovereign Savior!

We also are hoping that Ivan the terrible will keep on truckin to the West! Three of these in a month is enough for ANY state to handle.

Thomas, it's good to hear from you. I'd been wondering how you came through the storm. The reports I still hear are continuing to amaze me--what an ordeal!

Thomas-
Where in Marion Co are you? I'm in Orange.
I haven't had electricity since Sat. They tell us it will not be restored until Sun. I am glad to be back at work where there is AC. God is awesome, it is amazing to see people of all backgrounds come together to help each other.
I pray Ivan spares us.

I am thankful to see some of you back! You have really been on my mind especially after watching the news and seeing the pictures of the destruction. I will continue to remember you as Ivan marches in...

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Your prayers are going up with about 15 million prayers from the state of Florida. Well, make it 14 million 500 thousand. There are a few Athiests here, though they are getting hard to find, thanks to the weather

I do not want to start another thread, so I will post this here. I have a very dear couple, SDAs, in VA who are good friends. I called them today. They very seldom go to the local church b/c it is very cool to them and he had the position of elder taken away from him b/c he did not agree with the head elder about something. This couple, R(male) & D(female) are genuine Christians who love God above all else except they consider the 7th day as a day to keep holy. They do not give much credit to EGW. When I was living in VA, they never mentioned her. Anyway they want to start another SDA church in Warrenton, VA. That is about 20 miles from Manassas, where I used to live and met them in the church there. I am praying for them, as I have since I left VA, but now I am praying that they learn the gospel. R knows about D. Ratzlaff and gets stuff from him every month. R does not believe him or what he writes. I want to pray that this church not happen. But it would be better to pray that God's will be done and that is what I will do. D and I are still good friends. I was in VA in Feb this year and told them I was not going to rejoin the SDA church. Today I told D I was going to a really active God centered church and she asked if it was SDA. I told her no, it was a Christian church. She thought I was going back to the SDA church for some reason. Anyway, I am asking everyone to pray for R & D. R has been misused by SDAs as he worked for a place run by self supporting missionaries and got paid something like $20/month with room/board and education provided for his children. He worked many years and when he left them he had no retirement. He is over 70 years of age and is now working for a company in Manassas and will have some retirement. D is a nurse. So please pray for them that they learn the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that God's will be done about the church.
I know God hears our prayers and know that He is awesome.
Diana
