Yesterday was Kevin's funeral. What a testimony to a life lived for God. It was a celebration of his life full with praise band ... very impactful songs as the minister invited us to join around the throne praising God. My friend was coordinating the Billy Graham crusade for our church which is in town this weekend, and she is still thinking about going out tonight for her son's to really hear the gospel fullforce (they live on separate coasts and are apparently rarely all together...but because of the accident, "happen" to be here when the crusade is in town....). She said they're saved, but she wants to make sure they hear it again while they're receptive. I thought what an amazing woman. She said she no longer will have to battle who she loves more, her husband or God...now it will be just God. And it poured yesterday. At the cemetary I told someone that even nature was sad as it just rained and rained. We stood there with our umbellas under trees in the lightning. Rain poured so loud, we couldn't hear the minister's final words, but the family was under the tent and they could. I believe he was reading 1 Corin 15 from the snippits I caught, but I didn't hear him cite the reference. They still don't know why he was where he was or how he happened to cross the centerline into the semi, but we can only presume it was God's time for him. At the visitation, I heard she told people that she was so jealous he got to go be with Jesus and she didn't. I'm sure this is only the beginning of her journey as a widow, so I would continue to invite prayers as the Spirit might lead.

Grandpa seems to be responding to the drugs, so that is a definite praise!

Our prayers are with each hurting one. May there be such oneness between us that when one of us weeps, the others taste salt.
God bless,

Thanks for the update on the funeral and the family left behind. And thanks for the update on your Grandfather. I will continue to keep all of them in my prayers.

Melissa, Your friends' death is a sobering reminder that even today could be our last day here on earth. I am so grateful to be included in the family of God...to live with a hope beyond the grave--the promise we will see Jesus!

grace always,

I like this verse I found about prayer. I Tim 2 1-4: I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God's mercy upon them, and give thanks. Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, for HE WANTS EVERYONE TO BE SAVED AND TO UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH.
I really like that last part, He wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. This is from the Life Recovery Bible, new living translation.
So as we pray tomorrow at sundown and Saturday at 1 PM PT, let us ask God's mercy on our SDA friends, relatives and unchurched formers and then give God thanks for answering our prayers right at that time. It is a done deal.
I look forward to the times to pray. I know God is doing great and awesome things that we cannot see right now. When we can see them, it will
only be a small portion of how awesome God really is. The rest we will see when we get to heaven. I am looking forward to that also. I am looking forward to meeting each of you there.

Thank you, Diana. I also love that part, "He wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth."

Thank you for reminding us of our prayer appointments and for giving us provocative Scripture to meditate on and to pray for others.

I would like to add to the list of people to pray for everyone who has been/is/will be in contact with Adventist(s) and/or Adventism, that God will shield and protect them from the satanic influences of Adventist doctrine and practices, and that they will know the truth.

Jeremy,
I really like that idea. A few weeks ago I invited a young lady to my house after the church service. We ended up talking about Adventism and EGW. She wanted to read something by EGW. All I had was a revised short version of DOA that is supposed to be sold my WalMart. As I lent it to her I told her to pray, a whole lot, before reading it so that Satan could not influence her.
Last Saturday evening after the church service she returned it to me. She told me she prayed before opening it, started reading it, closed it and did not want to read any more. She read enough to see the untruths printed.
So, let us add to our prayer list those who are/ will be coming in contact with SDAs. A new SDA church is being organized here in the town where I live. I have been praying, but not very consistently, that it not open, that is fail. I will pray more consistently about that. Please pray for the people who will be coming under the influence of this church
I am not a real scholar and cannot give written messages like some I have read on here. But I can encourage others. As my younger sister said one time, I do not have to be the Indian chief. I am happy being one of the tribe. That is how I am. I just want to be part of God's tribe.
God is still in charge, no matter what happens and He is so awesome. I love Him.

A WEEKLY REMINDER TO PRAY AT SUNDOWN ON FRIDAY IN YOUR TIME ZONE AND ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT 1 PM PT, 4 PM ECT,etc.
Col 4:2 "Devote yourselves to prayer with on alert mind and a thankful heart."
A couple of groups have been added to our prayer list. We have all the members of the SDA church, unchurched formers. Last week Jeremy asked that we pray for those people coming under the influence of the SDA church and this week some one mentioned about Christian churches that think SDA are Christians like all other Christians. Our prayer list grows, and that is fine. I like that. If I left anyone out, please post it here so I do not forget. At any rate all of you know who we are to pray for. God is in the midst of us when we pray. We are not together physically, but we are one in the Spirit as we raise our voices to God in prayer. Prayer is powerful and God is awesome.
See all of you at our prayer times.

I also look forward to these special prayer times. Even though Ellen White warned that our prayers are "useless" when we do not believe in the investigative judgment or practice tithing, our heartfelt prayers will NEVER be intercepted by Satan. Praise God!

Indeed, praise God!

One other cirucmstance that's related to Jeremy's point about people coming in contact with SDAs--there is a huge Revelation Seminar conducted by Ron Halvorsen going on right now in San Bernardino. It's being held in the large Orange Show venue, and everyone in the area (which is huge!) has gotten colored flyers with beasts and horses and doves on it announcing the meetings. I've not heard how the attendance or responses have been, but I do pray that God will protect people from deception.

Praise God--our prayers are not useless!

Diana, Iím excited about the powerful prayer points you mentioned. For myself, Iím seeing LOTS of breakthrough and I canít help but believe the prayers of this forum are partially behind it. Iíve had more people start asking serious questions. When I ordered Gregís book I made one mistakeóI only ordered one copy. Itís been constantly out on loan and is being used to clarify thoughts that many people have.

Iíve missed everyone for the past several weeks. I was out of state plus we moved and the DSL service didnít catch up right away. Now Iím the one playing catch up because I donít want to miss any of the great threads on this forum!

Praise GodÖ

Colleen, you bring something to my mind. The SDA church is trying to establish a church here where I live in Henderson, NV. They are supposed to have a Revelation Seminar also. So we can add to our prayer list all those Christians who attend these seminars that they will be shown God's truth and who is really behind these seminars.
Dennis, I think that is humorous that God does not hear our prayers if we do not believe in the Ij and do not tithe. Thank God we can forget EGW and all her lies. Matthew wrote come unto me all that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. It does not say, believe in the IJ and tithe and then I will give you rest. It does not say keep the 7th day sabbath and then I will give you rest. I truly had a veil over my mind as an SDA and I thank each of you who have websites about EGW and the SDA church doctrine. God lead me to one about EGW and I have been praising Him ever since. It eventually led me to this site. THANK YOU LORD. YOU ARE AWESOME.

My weekly reminder to pray at sundown tomorrow in your time zone and on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM PT. 4 PT ECT and the corresponding times in the rest of the US, Mexico, Great Britain, Europe and South Africa.
Ps. 5:1 & 2 O LORD, HEAR ME AS I PRAY; PAY ATTENTION TO MY GROANING. LISTEN TO MY CRY FOR HELP, MY KING AND MY GOD, FOR I WILL NEVER PRAY TO ANYONE BUT YOU
v. 4 O GOD, YOU TAKE NO PLEASURE IN WICKEDNESS; YOU CANNOT TOLERATE THE SLIGHTEST SIN..
v. 7 BECAUSE OF YOUR UNFAILING LOVE, I CAN ENTER YOUR HOUSE; WITH DEEPEST AWE I WILL WORSHIP AT YOUR TEMPLE.
So we continue to pray for ourselves, our SDA family and friends and every one in the SDA church from the GC down to the smallest church in the world, unchurched formers, those coming into contact with SDAs, and the Christian churches that think the SDA church is a "regular" Christian church.
I look forward to meeting with each of you tomorrow and Saturday afternoon as we kneel to pray. God is in the midst of us and He does hear us.
He is AWESOME!!!!!

Also, a reminder for anyone in Arizona, Indiana, or other places which do not observe Daylight Saving Time, the Saturday prayer time will be 1 hour later than it has been. It will be at 2 PM Arizona time; 4 PM in the Eastern time zone portion of Indiana.

Hawaii also is on standard time all year and they are even several more times zones away from California. It's very confusing because part of the year California is two hours different in time from Hawaii and part of the year the two states are three hours different.

Our weekly reminder to pray Friday evening at sundown in our own times zones and Saturday afternoon at 1 PM, PCT, 4 PM ECT and all the other corresponding times. I do not have a verse this week, so just think of your favorite prayer text.
It is so exciting to pray as a unit with all of us raising our voices to God asking for the same thing, salvation for others that we love and care about. God is awesome and He does hear us and will answer our prayers.

This is my weekly reminder to pray Friday at sundown in our own time zone and on Saturady at 1 PM PT, 4 PM ET. I will be in Texas with my son, DIL and grandson for the Thanksgiving so I probably will not write a reminder next week. So praise God and give Him thanks for all your blessings this Thanksgiving season. I am so thankful He has taken me out of the SDA church. That is the biggest blessing for me this year. The next one is the job I have. Thank you God for every thing, Thank you for everyone on the FAF. Thank you that we can pray for all the SDAs who have not gotten to know you yet, for those who are getting to know you and have not made a decision for you, yet. Thank you for all the unchurched formers. You love each one and are not willing that any should perish.
Thank you that you are so awesome....
Diana
