We all have relatives and friends who are still in the clutches of Satan in the SDA church. So, as I read I thought, Why don't we have a prayer chain? People across the country will be praying at the same time for all our loved ones. Just a thought I thought I would throw out to the rest of you.
God does work miracles. Look what He did to each of us. He is so awesome.

That is such a great idea! It seems prayer is the best thing we can be doing.

Great idea! How would it work differently than listing prayer requests?

I was thinking we could all say a prayer at the same time every day. Maybe twice a day. I know there are time differences between the East and West coasts. Say you pray at 8 PM East Coast time, if that is where you are. Then I would be saying a prayer at 5 PM West coast time and the ones in between at their corresponding times. We can still put our requests on the forum as we have been doing. I just thought of all our voices being raised to God at the same time was a good idea.

Prayer would be specific to those of us on Former Adventist Fellowship forum (FAF) and our loved ones and our (FAF) desire for God to lead and open the hearts of those loved ones to know, understand and feel the joy of knowing the good news of the New Covenant in Jesus Christ alone AND for our (FAF)lives to be raised up so that all can see the love of Jesus through each of us? If so, count me in!

I believe specific prayer for the sincere believers in SDA'ism that they would find Jesus and ONLY Jesus as their rock.

Say when!

Great idea! There may also be people here who want to participate in this corporate prayer but who might be involved in something they can't reschedule at the time of prayer. While we can all pray in our heads at any time, some may want to spend more time praying. They can still pray for Adventists to come to know Jesus at a time when they can concentrate on praying. (I'm saying this because many times when I was teaching, I would be so involved in the process of explaining and, well--teaching, that I would sometimes forget to pray for something I was committed to until after class was over--and this would happen even though I prayed for God to bring the issue to my mind. He would--after class sometimes!)

It is wonderful to think of praying together for the same thing! Diana, why don't you set a time, since this great idea was yours? Let us know!

Great Diana,

I suggested it some time back but didnt get any takers, so I've been praying for the conference, the preachers, individual churches and leaders and the congregations, that knowledge would come to them and they would choose.

A specific time would be awesome and if anyone wants to fast a day, or even a meal, that would be great too.

Okay, How about Satuday afternoon at 1 PM Pacific Coast Time. That would be 4 PM East Coast time and Central time would be 3 PM. We will pray for our SDA relatives, our SDA friends and ALL SDAs as Sabra has listed above. How does that sound? If you want to put others on the list, let us know.
God will work miracles and will show how awesome He is.

I think Saturday would be perfect - that is the time my parents and SDA friends are getting out of church (their weekly meet with God, they think) and heading for the Sabbath afternoon activities that are sacred enough to assure them of their salvation. Actually, that is when I grieve the most for them...it is the pinnacle of their relationship with God...Oh for them to really see Jesus and His great love and grace...

Saturdays 4 PM sounds great to me, maybe we could add formers who are totally unchurched, who feel so betrayed because of the SDA deceitfulness that they have a hard time beleiving in God.

sounds fine, just wondering what might happen if we were praying for the Holy Spirit to intercede while they are in church , or just before?

I know we are on different time zones, so that might be hard.

I'll be there whatever time you set! I'm excited about it!

Sounds like a great time to me. Perhaps we can remind each other a day ahead and then again Saturday morning, at least until we get the habit developed.

Just today I was reading an article about the power in numbers. The article quoted Leviticus as a good example of Bible math. Leviticus 26:8 Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.

There is power in united prayer!

I really like Sabra's idea...maybe Friday sunset as their special time begins? And then again Saturday night? (Is that too SDA?) I really appreciate the idea of asking the Holy Spirit to intercede during those hours. These people who love those weekly Sabbath hours need to see and understand how living the other 6 days with God as their number one focus FAR exceeds only 24 hours! GIVE ME JESUS!!

PraiseGod,

Thanks so much for sharing "Bible math". What a wonderful verse in Leviticus! There are so many fabulous gems in God's Word. I find myself more and more amazed at what He shows me (using all of you at times!) every new day!

All of us can pray, as a group, at sound down in our time zone for God's Holy Spirit to interecede during the hours of the 7th day for all those keeping the Sabbath. Then we can pray for all those listed above, plus the formers who have left God behind at 1 PM Pacific Time, 4 PM East coast time and 3 PM Central time on Saturday. Shucks, we can pray for all of them both times.
Praise God, I really like the Bible math. We are going to be be using it and God will give the results. I am excited about this.
I will put a notice here on Thursday evening.
Now we will see how awesome God is. Of course we know He is, but we will see it in a big way according to the Bible math. I am looking forward to this. There is power in united prayer.
God is truly awesome.

Saturday 1 p.m. west coast time would be 10 p.m. central European time, and 9 p.m. in Britain, so that would also allow any in Europe to join in as well. If you make it any later, it would be in the middle of the night for us.
I would be happy to join in too.
