Hrobinsonw,
You are an inspiration yourself. I am very impressed with how you are dealing with the differences between you and your finance'. I see my husband very similar to her - they know and understand where Adventsim is wrong but are unable to completely seperate themselves from the pull completely. I, too, can get "stressed" but focusing on God and living each day with His love and through His love is all we can do. I say "AMEN" to this forum and God's presence here!

When is the wedding date? I hope you keep us up-to-date and know that you have my support and best wishes (and many prayers).

Lst year, my husband and I had invested our savings into starting a company with a few other people. the week before we signed the papers that would give us a sizeable amount of equity in the company and some financial stability, God asked my husband to resign. The partners were doing some underhanded things, and there was a lot of tension.
I was 8 months pregnant, very sick, and had quit my nursing job. We had $200 in the bank when my husband resigned, and we had no idea what was on the horizon. But we were praying together and got the strongest feeling that God was unequivocally telling is to trust Him and resign.
So we did. Turned down $80,000 and the money we had invested. And Go has been faithful. Several people came to us and offered to lend us money. We didn't even ask anyone, and 2 of the pepople didn't even know we needed anything. (And those people weren't even CHristians.)
My husband started his own business, which has been very successful. he has hired 2 great Christian men to work with him, and they all work from a separate office on our property. We were able to buy a nice house with 5 acres, and i don't need to work. God has even used the company's success to fiancially help several other families get through some rough patches.

So I know for a fact that God's way IS better. Getting here was ROUGH, but it "pushed us out of the nest".
God is good, and is faithful to provide for us. All we have to do is TRUST HIM!

Tanya, I am really afraid to push the business idea. It is so uncertain. But unlike Abram, I will listen. And Dd, thank you so much. I just close them out of my mind. I knew what I was getting into. I asked God to decide for me and he did. There is some reason that God wants me with her. Many times I wonder why he would place me with her. But he gave me a definite answer, so I must persevere. Something good will come out of it since I know for a fact that it is what he wants. My mother tells me that I might be her calling our of Ur. I hope so. I am glad that things worked out for you and your family, Tanya. It is amazing how God speaks and though we cannot see as far as he can, we trust and years later we praise him.

Tanya, thanks for sharing your story. You're so right, Hrobinsonw--"we trust and years later we praise him."

As far as who does the video streaming--I'm not sure, but if you email rberger@trinityonline.org, Ron could tell you. I'm pretty sure the streaming is done by the company that operates the website--but he can tell you for sure!

Tanya, God is so good. I am so happy for you and your husband. God is always right on time, but not our time.
Hrobinsonw, I am still praying for you and your fiance.
God is so awesome.

Hrob,
Certainly a private business isn't right for everyone. In fact, we hadn't ever considered it before. God led us to it step by step. And wouldn't have done it if we hadn't felt His direct leading on it. It certainly is risky, and not something to take lightly.

That is what I am going through right now. Step by step I am getting clients here and there for simple things and they keep in contact with me. My clients keep urging me to start a business on the side where they pay me a monthly fee to come into their homes and check their computers and/or networks out. Kind of performing maintenance for them. I didn't ask for this. After I prayed about if God wanted me to do this or not, clients began appearing out of the blue.

Sounds like you are listening to God. That is the way to do it!
We have found that having the "insecurity" of a business has made us rely on God more. It has been really good for us in that way. And it also reminds me that while we may think that having a salaried job is secure, it really isn't. Anything could happen, anytime, and God is the only one we can trust for our security anyway.
My husband may have his own business, but he also has a boss. God. The best boss he has ever worked for.
Lat week, my friend has an emergency, and needed a lot of prayer. I called my husband, and the three of them (him and his 2 employees) stopped work, joined hands, and prayed for her. She called me later and said "i totally felt God's presence, i wasn't even afraid to do something I never thought I waould have been able to endure!"

I wish some of my workplaces had been like that.

Having the freedom to stop when you need is very enticing. I hope it takes off. God is my boss ass well. I will see where this ride takes me.

Hrob,
I'll recommend a book to you, if you really are thinking about your own business. It is not a Christian book, but is the first book on personal finance I read, and actually was very interested in.
You might like it, or maybe you have read it already. It is called "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." The guy who wrote it wrote several books on such subjects. "Cashflow Quadrant" is another book he wrote that I got something out of.

Tealeaves! What a great recommendation for all entrepreneurs!

I met Robert Kiyosaki in Phoenix about 4 years ago when he did a free seminar for over 100 people. His information is very practical and he is so inspirational. He gave away books and tapes to everyone who attended, and stayed for a long time until each person talked to him or received an autograph. He's a very nice, down-to-earth person and I believe he truly wants to help people. Look at what he's doing for kids too. Check out:

Krista,
Kiyosaki, that is right. I had forgotten his name. Yeah, i found him inspirational too. His ideas and enthusiasm took me from being intimidated by money, to thinking of it as a tool... something that you could make work for you no matter how much or little you had to start with.
I think he has some really solid financial principles in his repertoire.

I seeked advice and I am getting it. Thank you. You all really don't have to share information with me, and you do. It is greatly appreciated.
