Father,

We Praise Your Mighty Name, You are worthy!

We come here in agreement, in unity, with your promise that where 2 or more are gathered you are in the midst and that whatever we ask for, beleiving we will receive, we claim those promises and are believing, oh God for your grace to fall on the Seventh day Adventist churches, it's members, leaders, pastors and conference.

We pray that Your Holy Spirit would reveal truth to them and that You would give them the strength to be able to receive the truth and stand for it no matter what the cost.

We know there are many deceived people that want to know truth, Lord and we pray that these would be drawn to you and that fear would be cast out and that it would be replaced by joy and peace.

Lord, we pray that those who know truth and are supressing it would be brought to repentance and would know that the riches of this world are nothing if their souls are lost.

Father, thank You for your grace in enlightening us formers and freeing us in Your grace, we are so grateful and blessed to know Your Truth. We pray for all of the formers that are not in truth that they might receive your love and grace and be received into Your truth.

Father, we thank You for your longsufferring and thank You and praise You that we are already seen as the righteousness of You through Jesus.

We love You and thank You for the price paid so that we can come before You in prayer.

We ask all of this is Jesus' Name,
Amen

I just want to tell you about my afternoon. My SDA husband invited a whole houseful of people for lunch after church today. He prepared all of the food last night, so I can't complain about having to cook!! As I was cleaning up the dishes, the typical SDA conversation started about how they have the truth, etc. began. I looked at the clock and realized it was time to pray!! That was such a great help to me, rather than seething in anger at what they were saying.

Praise the Lord!

I invited a current SDA to pray with us too. He is one of those who is saddened by the state of his church. He is not an EGW fan, and is an evangelical Christian, but is still hanging on to Sabbatarianism. (Also is a "cultural SDA")
He is going to join us in asking God to work on the hearts of the SDAs to bring them to Himself, to bring them to the truth.

While I didnít invite him to pray along with us, I did mention to my friend who is an SDA pastor that we will be praying for SDAs to find Jesus. He was quite happy with that. We also discussed the veil that is over the faces of those still living under the Old Covenant. I pray especially for him that he will soon be able to leave. He sees much of what we see and the rest will probably not become clear to him without making the final severance from the denomination.

Praise GodÖ

Here is a verse about prayer to meditate on before we pray tomorrow.
1 Sam. 12:23 "As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you."
If any one sees a verse about prayer, please post it here.
I do not want to sin by ceasing to pray for our loved SDA family, friends and all the others.
God is so awesome.

I'll be praying! Perhaps we could also post here some of the answers to prayer that we experience?

Philippians 4:6-7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

We will pray tonight at FAF, and we'll also pray tomorrow.

When God answers one of our prayers for those we love in the SDA church, any unchurched former, any SDA minister and any of the rest, please post it here. We need to see how God answers our prayers.
God is so awesome and when these people start tuning to Jesus, we will only see a small measure of how awesome He is.

Can you join me in prayer for someone? I'll call her TJ. She is SDA, and she and I email back and forth, but don't know each other in person.
She is a devoted SDA believer, but she struggles on and off with depression and loneliness, and says that although she very much believes in keeping the sabbath, she just isn't finding herself getting much out of her sabbaths and times with God anymore. She feels disconnected from God, and feels drawn to other sources for comfort. Her beliefs are intact, but she isn't getting her batteries recharged right now.
Pray with me for her?

I just want to pray that God will speak to her in a very realy way, that she can feel His Presence and know His voice.

Would she be willing to attend church with someone in her area on Sundays? I cannot understand how attending church on Sunday takes anything away from "keeping Sabbath". It's two totally seperate time periods.

Tealeaves,
TJ is included in all my prayers. I am thinking that maybe this is God letting her be lonely and depressed so she will turn to him. He does things so differently for each individual.
He is so awesome.

I doubt she would go to church anywhere else. I am just praying that God will meet her needs and leaving myself open for talk and prayer whenever she needs.

Matt 7:7 & 8 "Ask and it will be given you; see and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the seeker finds, and to him who knocks it is opened."
God is hearing our prayers and working on the hearts of those for whom we are praying.
God is in control and oh so awesome.

I'm praying as I type this, Tanya, that God will cause TJ to open her heart to the deep comfort and truth of Jesus, and that He will use you to speak for Him.

I ask God for lost of stuff. I generally don't get what I ask for. Therefore I can only assume "God's will be done" means that I'm asking for the things God doesn't see fit to give me. As a result I have yet to figure out how prayer works.

I think the key to prrayer is to realize that God is going to answer in the way that is best for you. And often, it is hard to understand His plan or reasoning.
For instance, last year, when my husband was having such problems with his business partners, I kept praying that they would ease up and be more respectful of him. I prayed for the pressure to ease up for months on end. They didn't ease up, and neither did the pressure.
I was disheartened, we were at the end of our rope. It seemed like God wasn't listening, because things were only getting worse.
Then one evening, we felt God's Presence, and we strongly felt Him tell us to let the company go. To resign. We did, with no idea what to do next. but we trusted God, and my husband started his own business, and it has been SUCH a blessing.
God didn't answer my prayers immediately or in the way that I asked. But he took care of us. And His answer to my prayer was 1000 times better than I could have hoped or imagined for myself.
