God spared me from the SDA church all together.

Mom decided it would be too much trouble to try to go to church and then to my cousins so we skipped!! (Thank You Lord!) We went shopping Thursday, to Disney Friday and then Saturday we went to my cousin's house. Kids swam in the pool (oh horrors) My aunt and cousin said they have been visiting "Sunday" churches, hadn't found one they like yet, my aunt said that she is not of any denomination, just a christian. WOW!

My sister came--for those that don't remember, she is not my mom's daughter, we have the same dad--we had a good visit and then we went to stay at my sister's Sat. night so I could sing at her church on Sunday.

We got there Sat. night, just in the door, mom and her husband called wanting directions to my sister's church. Can you believe that???

The pastor wanted to speak to me beforehand and asked me about my mom and her faith, I shared a little with him and he came off with a GREAT sermon about how Jesus is all that matters, that we are to share the LOVE of Jesus to the lost and draw them to Him through our example of love. He briefly stated that denomination can not save us, that denominations are ok, but they do not save us and only the blood of Jesus can save us.

It was a more indepth message than that but it was very clear and very good. You could just see Jesus shining through this man. It was a very small church and no nutty stuff--very calm for Word of Faith.

My step-dad shook the preacher's hand, told him to keep on preaching like that, my mom said he was "right on" and they seemed very happy about the whole thing.

So, the trip is done, there's no place like home, praise God.

Please pray for my cousin and aunt, for God to direct them to a church that they can grow in.

God is working!!
Yes He is!!

That is a wonderful story you are sharing. It is good you had a special visit with your loved ones. And, yes, it always is great to get bach home. At Disney did you go to Epcot Center? I love Epcot Center. Of all the Disney places I've been to that is my favorite. Sadly, though, I'm allergic to Florida. Soon as I step out of the plane in Florida I get an allergy attack that does not let up until I'm far away from that state. I think it must be the different flowers than I'm used to.

Sabra,
God did take care of you as you did not go to the SDA church and you had a God and grace filled sermon on Sunday. That is a wonderful story. I will pray for your cousin and aunt that God takes them to the church He wants for them.
When I read stories like this I am in awe of what God does. He is so awesome.

Hi Sabra,
Great news! Sounds like you had a good visit. If your cousin and aunt would enjoy contemporary music in a service, tell them to check out Northland Church in Longwood. There are 7 services throughout the weekend with about 1200 people at each service. The music is awesome and the pastors make the Bible soooo interesting. It's right past Casselberry off 1792 on Dog Track Rd. They will find JOY there!
