Dd,
PST is 10 hours behind our time zone (GMT+2) So that makes it 10:20PM (My Bed-time). My working day starts at 10:00pm your time. ( Today Monday I started working @ the office at 8:00AM and it was still 10:00pm Sunday night with you.) On your election day's evening when the results are coming in, we're just in time to get the results on our 6:00AM newscasts. Yes, I've been praying very hard for the USA over these elections that God's will be done, and that there will be no delays like 2000. (Or that, worse still, there'll be no cheating!)
God bless and good night,
Loren

Colleen, I just ordered 4 books from Life Assurance. I feel like a kid 3 days before Christmas. Thank you for pointing me in that direction.

H-
I missed your earlier post about the Cardinals. I was in St. Louis last week on business (the reason I fell behind on reading posts). And your description of the town's mood was so true.

Ric,

It is so weird that a town could love a sport so much. It is almost like if you are raised there, you must love the Cardinals. I go home often, and I promise. If you are ever sitting on the bridge waitng to enter St. Louis during a game. You can almost feel the aura flowing from Busch Stadium. It is so exciting. Too bad we lost. But it wasn't our time. Next year we will be ready.

Loren, Here's the bio on the missionaries our church supports in South Africa. They are wonderful people. I met them a couple of years ago when they were here. I'm sure it's a large city, but it seems small when you look at it from the world-view.

------------
The Morris family went to southern Africa as missionaries in August 1983, first working in Zimbabwe. Since March 1995 they have lived and worked in Johannesburg, South Africa, where they minister with an English-speaking congregation. Northside Christian Church reaches out to both South African families and foreign professionals through Sunday services, Bible studies and youth programs.

Other ministries include visitation / counseling at Olivedale Clinic, a 350-bed private hospital. Joyce is also a regular speaker for Stonecroft Ministries' Christian Women's Club through the Johannesburg / Pretoria area. Brion teaches part-time for the South African Bible Institute (SABI), a small college training leaders for the African churches in the country. Joyce is helping to computerize SABI's library of approximately 5,000 volumes.
------------

Anyway, they're good people who truly love the African people and sharing Christ with them.

Pheeki and Loren, could you please email me with your info at formeradventist@yahoo.com?

I could probably find your email address without too much trouble, Loren, but Pheeki--yours is buried somewhere in a file of paper copies, and it would probably be faster if you emailed me!

Actually, now that I'm setting up data bases for Proclamation, my next data project is to create an FAF data base that includes everyone's email addresses. With that in mind, I'd welcome an email from all of you with your current email addresses so I can enter them. Some of yours I already know, but if you were to send me specific emails with your data, I'd have everything in one pile--and my clerically-challenged brain would find that very helpful!

Thanks to all!

Colleen

Hi Melissa,
I must look the Morris' up. I know of Olivedale Clinic. Jo'burg may look small to you in North America, but if you have an "Encarta" Atlas with a night view of earth, we're the biggest blob of light in Africa south of the Sahara. The Johannesburg / Pretoria area can be likened to the Dallas / Fort Worth Area. At 6 Million I guess we're not the biggest city, even in Africa, but to get from the north of Pretoria to the south of Johannesburg would take an hour, even at the 72MPH (120KM/PH) we're allowed to travel at.
Thanks for the info.
