Colleen,

Keep praying..........that's all I'm saying for now.

We are into the big production of "The Book" at church. It starts tommorrow night and goes through the 12th. There is a LOT of warfare going on because of it. Last year there were over 300 decisions for Christ and satan hates this play. I'm in the choir and therefore particularly in need of prayer from everyone of you.

Please remember the Central Baptist Church and especially cast members and choir and orchestra throughout the 12th. Please pray that the lost will be drawn and saved.

I'll be looking forward to giving a great report!

Thank you all!
Sabra

Susan,

It is on video and DVD. This is chapter 2 of 3. Chapter one can be purchased at www.cbch.org I think there is a link on the home page and we are doing chapter 3 at Easter this year, then that will be all for The Book and we will start something new with the new sanctuary being finished.

They are somewhat a christmas play, but mostly it is a shocking way to reach the lost. The story line is very relative to people in the world. There has been a great response from it in the past.

Thanks so much Diana and Colleen!

Sabra and Susan,
I'm praying for both of you.

I just want to share what's happened over the last month with you wonderful people and ask for your prayers.

About a month ago, my daugher, age 9, developed what looked like ringworm on her thigh. Then a few days later a rash developed on her chest, neck and trunk. After visits to our family practice doctor and a dermatologist, it was diagnosed as pityriasis rosea. The dermatologist said there isn't a known cause, but is probably viral and resolves on its own. And that is exactly what happened. But my husband had to keep inspecting the rash (which is embarrassing for a 9 year old developing girl) and keep insisting it was due to all the sugar she eats.

The next week we all were in the car, in broad daylight and a deer ran across the road and hit our car; in trying to avoid it, we went into the ditch. A fellow that my husband thinks he's evagelizing to happened to call a few days later and I answered the phone and in talking to him, told him about our accident. My husband talked to him a few days later and Sam said "all you talked to him about was our car crash, that's all he knows about you (in other words I should be talking about spiritual things)"

The next event was at the SDA school. Sam runs a cleaning business and has been cleaning the school. On this particular morning, he was in a hurry to finish before the teachers arrived and used some kind of acidy solution on the floor. When I went in with the kids, the floor looked terrible! I quickly tried to mop with plain water. Sam wouldn't ever admit that he was in error for grabbing the wrong jug (does this sound like anyone else in the SDA church we might know, eg EGW?)

Anyway, these occurences have been the last straw and I have available an employee assistance program at work and set up 3 sessions with a counselor. I had my first session on Thursday and after listening to me, she said I'm exhibiting signs of depression. She recommended seeing my doctor and getting started on an antidepressant (that happened Friday). Step 2 is getting my kids into therapy, which I'm working on. And step 3 is getting some legal counsel for a divorce. I know it's futile to even ask him to go to a marriage counselor.

So just asking for your prayers. THanks so much

Oh, Madelia --
I cannot even begin to say what is on my heart for you...words cannot describle my sorrow for you and your situation. I completely understand and can empathize with all the turmoil I know you are wrestling with. Please know that you are being prayed for with great diligence. Sometimes the best thing to do for yourself and for your children is something that will bring pain and hardship. As you look ahead, do not only see darkness. Remember it is because of all the struggles and temptations Jesus suffered that He is our PERFECT Savior (plus the undeniablity of Him being God). He knows better than anyone else the sorrows and trials that you are living with. He has led you this far in your search for Him and REAL truth! He will not abandon you now. He wants what is best for your children.

I am praying that the all the doors that need to be opened, during the process ahead of you, will swing wide open and give you the courage and love you need.

Madelia, you are in my prayers. What you are going through is so painful. Any way you turn right now is difficult--there is no easy answer. Please remember that all of us are here for you, praying for you and will support you in any way that we can.

From my experience, someone who is as rigid as Sam is dealing with a lot of inner turmoil. If you peeled back his emotional layers I believe you would find a lot of fear at the roots. Unfortunately, if cornered, people with a lot of fear lash out in anger or rage. Please be careful.

Perhaps once you are safely away you can get him to come to the counselor or some third party mediator that would be acceptable to both of you. Right now, my concern is that he will do everything he can to tear you down if he finds out you're thinking of leaving him.

Cling to Jesus. Surround yourself with the power of praise through your choice of Christian music.

Believing for breaththrough!
Praise God...

Madelia, I am praying for you. I agree with Praisegod that you need to be very wise and careful to avoid the possible rage your leaving may trigger.

I will be praying that you will know what decisions to make, that He will guide you to the right people for help, and that He will keep you and your kids safe. I'm also praying for your husband.

Madelia, my heart goes out to you and your children. I was SDA and my husband became one before we married. After the marriage he could not live it and stopped going to church. I was furious with him. We even went to see a counselor, but I could not tell the counselor how deceived I felt. I had been raised that we do not tell any one our problems, only Jesus, so I never did say anything to the counselor. So I can imagine how your husband feels, but that does not excuse him. I hope to just give you a glimmer of how he may be feeling inside.
You and the children are in my prayers.
Hang on to God. He is strong and so awesome.

Madelia, I am praying for you now.

And as PraiseGod said, surround yourself with Christian music. It's amazing how blessed I am by Christian music, and any time I'm worried, or sad, or angry, whatever.....God gives me the perfect song to speak to me.
