Hi, iam new to this forum! I am an X-LDS (Mormon) who is married to an X-SDA! Well, my in -laws ( or outlaws!) , are devout sda. My mother inlaw is a teacher in the Adventist system with the Idaho Conference.
She is coming here( California), for the Christmas Holiday next week!
My last visit to Idaho this summer we had a huge debate over many sda doctrines from Eg white to 3abn! I told her to give me some non-sda resources that can prove these doctrines! I told her NOT to send me anything from the adventist publishers ( Review and Herald, Pacific Press etc)
Anyway, pleasse pray for me to be gentle and have respect during my inlaws stay next week! I am hoping to have a great Christmas without having debates on which church is the truth!

God Bless you ALL!

Dundo, welcome to the forum! You've come to a place where you will find support and prayer. We will pray for you and your family. BTW, where does your M-I-L teach? (I might remember the school from my teaching days at Gem State Academy!)

It seems like Christmas time is a little tough for some of us formers and our relatives. This year Christmas falls on Saturday, so that makes it a little hard for some families. My family always did it differently, i.e. waited till sundown to open gifts.

So welcome, Dundo! That sounds interesting for you with your backgrounds, to say the least. Can you tell how you got out of LDS? I find that there are so many similarities in getting out of JW's, LDS's and SDA's, that it reaffirms my findings of being in a "cultish" religion.

If she starts on something that doesn't set well with you, bring the focus back to God - the baby Jesus who grew up to be our Redeemer and Friend!

Welcome Dundo! You will be in my prayers this Christmas season!

ps.......i got out of the LDS Church by the grace of God! I accepted the REAL JESUS as my LORD and SAVOR was baptised and filled with HIS Spirit!

When i have some time, i would like to share my journey from a false gospel( cult), to the TRUTH!

Until then!.....Ron
