Since I cannot drive to church with my knee immobilizer, I have been watching the various Christian programs on TV. I saw 2 this morning from 2 different Baptist churches. Both sermons were Christ and grace filled. It feels good to be able to attend church with other Christians and not feel guilty because they are not Sabbath keepers. Jesus is all we need. Hallelujah!!!
God is awesome.

Diana, perhaps the Lord intends to use this time of your physical limitation to further instruct you through some of the TV pastors who faithfully preach the truth of the Gospel. I am sure your recent accident will prove to have served some Divine purpose.

By the way, I attend a church in Corona, CA that is a "sister church" to your chuch in Henderson, NV. Your pastor, Judd, used to be the associate pastor at my church. (I worship at Crossroads Christian Church. I live in Riverside.)

Would any of you down in the Riverside/Corona/Chino area like to visit with my son who is in prison down there? He is on the most minnimum security yard at the faciity. I can't get down there too much to visit. He reads The Daily Bread, he attends chapel and he seems to really like Bible study. If some nice person reading this who lives in that area would be interested I am hoping we can work something out through Colleen, as she is he facilitator of this forum. He even went to SDA elementary school. I will pray that he can get a visitor from someone on here. BTW, he's an absoutely wonderful and delightful young man. "...I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was naked and you gave me something to wear. I was in prison and you vsited me...." Jesus

Bob,
I have met people from your church who visited here to see and hear Jud again.
God directed me to this church. I was praying for a church to attend and had attended various Christian churches. The week after Mother's day God put the thought in my head to visit the big church off 95 on Russell Rd. Satan, I am sure, tried to stop me, because I kept turning on the wrong road. I arrived at the church after the service started. I walked in, sat down and immediately felt at home. I went to guest central afterward and signed up for the 7 week course and then for the 20 week DiscoveryE course. It was an enlightening experience and affirmed what I had learned just reading the Bible on my own without the EGW filters. If you ever come this way, let me know and we can meet as Christians and former SDAs. Right now I know only one former and she is not attending church. My younger sister does not attend the SDA church, but still considers herself SDA. So I do not count her a a former.
Yes, I agree, that God probably is using this time to teach me as I watch the various services on Sunday morning. I have more time to stop and read the Bible as I cannot get out and run around. God does not make mistakes and uses everything to His honor and Glory.
I have learned to be thankful in ALL things and situations and to praise God.
Everyday I see more and more how awesome God is.

Diana, I too have a distinct conviction that God led me to Crossroads Church. I have been worshipping there for almost seven years, and I love it! In recent months I have become involved in the decision counselor ministry of the church. It is such a joy to help people understand what it means to surrender to Jesus, and to pray with them.

We loved pastor Jud, and miss him, but our loss was your gain!

I am not aware of any other former SDAs in my church either. One member of this forum used to worship there, but he found another church that he likes more.

I have had many conversations about Adventism with our senior pastor, and have given him Dale's books for his library. As a result, the pastor refers members to me when they have questions about what SDAs believe.

I look forward to some day visiting your church. When I do, I will try to let you know ahead of time, so that we can meet! Likewise, if you ever get to the Riverside-Corona area, I hope you will choose to come and worship with us at Crossroads. An email address at which you may contact me is: bobh@myself.com

After I can drive again, I will drive to Riverside because I have 3 sisters and 1 brother who live there. I will contact you when I do. I want to leave LV early Friday morning so I can attend the FAF meeting in Redlands that night. Then I will arrange to visit your church in Corona
before returning to LV.
I am in the process of reading 4 books-G. Taylor's, the one about the cultic doctrines of the SDA, another about Healing Spiritual Abuse, and Sabbath in Christ. I want to buy some of these books for my church library. I want to tell every one about the non Biblical doctrine of the SDAs.
As I read these books I am so thankful God started taking me out of this church a little at a time a long time ago. He is so awesome.
