In a discussion today with Truthseeker/Belteshazzar on CARM he made the follwing reply to me, which I take by his comment he would like to have seen here.

quote:

My heart does condemn me when I come into a forum and return angry, hurtful or spiteful comments....I know that is wrong....I am sorry for judging the hearts of others..specifically those who left the adventist church....I pray that they will also understand my convictions, which are not based on legalism because if you knew me, you would know that that is not how I am at all.
Anyway, I apologize for my comments made to all of you and to those at formeradventist.com. Please let them know of my apology.
Posting like I have the past several months has made me realize that we can sometimes hurt alot of people on our way to keeping God's commandments, which is ironic.

I think his words are true for any of us, sometimes in our desire to show people what we know is important, we can fail in showing the very Love that we espouse.

What did the words to those old campfire songs say?

"Love, love, love, the gospel in one word is love. Love your neighbor as your brother. Love, love, love."

"We will work with each other, we will work side by side. And we'll guard each one's dignity and save each one's pride. And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love. They will know we are Christians by our love."

Ric, thanks for sharing John's comments with us. Tell him that we accept his apology and pray that God will bless him with deep peace and joy in Jesus.

Colleen
