I just have to share with all of you my joyous, Christ filled evening. It started with the church service. We had a guest interviewed by our pastor. The guest was Michael Franzese. He was a member of the Mafia and left it and became a Christian. He has not gone into any witness protection program, but God has taken care of him. If things went Satan's wasy he would have been killed. I bought 3 of his books, one for me, one my younger sister and one for my son and his wife. I had Michael sign each of them. His testimony was beautiful and pointed at all times to Christ.
After the service I was in line to buy his book. Now I am a talker and like to meet people. I started talking to a lady in front of me in line and learned that she and her husband almost became SDAs while in Florida. So they are very familiar with adventism. Then she tells me her best friend, who now lives in Dallas, TX, is a Mexican lady, who is, you guessed it, a former SDA. We have exchanged phone numbers and I asked her to send my e-mail address to her friend in Texas.
Also, while waiting in line to buy my books, I heard a voice say, "Don't I know you?" I did not recognize the face, but when she told me she had been a student occupational therapist where I worked when I first came to Vegas, I recognized her. She is a member of my church and is a Christian. So we had a nice little reunion.
I am going to start reading Michael's book tonight and hope I do not stay up all night.
Lastly, I was talking to a friend and she introduced me to the other woman standing there. The friend said that I was a therapist and the friend asked me what I did, so I told her. It turns out she is in need of the therapy I know. I do not have my business open yet, so pray that I will get off my bottom and get every thing organized. I am afraid of stepping out to do something I have never done before. But I know with God leading me, and if this is what He wants me to do, He will make it prosper.
Another thing I noticed is that Christians, when they get together and do not know each other, have no problem talking about what God has done for them. I am constantly amazed when I meet new people to hear them talk about Jesus.
God you are truly awesome.

Diana,

How nice all of that sounds! I love those kinds of days and evenings. Nice little gifts (big gifts) from the Lord. He is a great date! ; )

And I agree, I love how we all love the Lord and can share in Him without jealousy and envy and rejoice with one another for the things He has done for us.
