Kind of along the lines of witnessing to SDA family - my ex-husband and I met when I was not attending church at all and was in a rebellious lifestyle. Some time after we married, we started going to an SDA church and he was eventually baptized. After about 12 years we divorced and he married his mistress, and they and their children now attend an SDA church. I feel kinda bad that this whole family is in the SDA church now. However I don't really want to have any contact with him, although everything is forgiven, we are not friends and do not live in the same area. Do I have a responsibility to let him know I have left the SDA church and feel it has dangerous errors? Looking for some guidance.
I am happily re-married to a wonderful and beautiful Christian man, he says to follow my conscience about it, but I am confused and conflicted. any ideas?

Don't do anything until the Lord answers you is my first response.

You could ask the Lord about sending Greg Taylor's book and Dale Ratlaff's book and a note saying "sending this in the Love of Christ"

Marcell,

I agree with Tracey. Greg Taylor's book is written in a very kind and loving way and is a good overview of the New Covenant. I'm a little over half-way done with "Sabbath in Christ" by Dale Ratzlaff and it's AWESOME! This is a great tool for explaining how the perpetual Sabbath fits into the Christian life. Both books are very easy to read and relatively uninflammatory towards SDA's.

Marcell, ask God to show you what to do. Tracey is right; don't do anything until He shows you.

If you have good reasons for not wanting anything to do with him and you know God is not urging you to contact him, you can know that God has ways you can't imagine to reach him.

If sending him a book would not either trigger anger or unwanted responses, that might be a good thing to do.

Pray, and let God lead you.

Colleen
