My Prayer

Lord, this morning I lift up this prayer.
I pray that the Holy Spirit would help me,
Because I do not know what to say,
But I cry out to you.
At this moment my heart aches for

Friends,

Family,

And acquaintances.

Lord, you know they are,

Sincere.

Let their sincerity be grounded in Your Son Jesus.

Lord, you know they are

Seeking.

Let them seek only Jesus.

Lord, you they have created a warm and close knit

Community.

Let their community have Jesus as its head, at its very center.

Lord, you know they cherish

Godís Word.

Let them find the truth of Jesus in the pages of scripture.

Lord, they have created great institutions of

Education.

Let these institutions teach Jesus first, last, and best.

Lord, they have developed great centers for

Healthcare.

Let them now experience spiritual healing through Jesus.

Lord, they have a passion for

Holiness.

Let them find their holiness in Jesus.

Lord, they speak beautifully of the oasis they find in the

Sabbath

Let the now find their ultimate Sabbath rest in Jesus.

This is what is on my heart this morning,
But I have no eloquent words to pray,
Just these simple thoughts.

Holy Spirit, take my stammering,
And present it as something pleasing to the Lord.
Father, accept my petition because of your Son,
It is in Him I rely.

Nothing is too great for you.
You are the one who makes

The lame walk,

The blind see,

And the dead live.

Make them alive, oh Lord.
In the name that is above every name,
In the name of Jesus Christ,

Amen

Chris,
My prayer this morning mirrored yours...mine was much less eloquent. It is nothing I can do. I can worry, be outraged, depressed...I can preach and share Scripture but until the veil is lifted and the Holy Spirit is heard, I must leave it to Jesus. It is only through Him the weary will find rest.

My prayer, to You Dear Lord...is to be used by You to live in Your love in a way that shines with joy, peace and contentment. May those I love and those I bump into today see the difference You make in my days, in how I react, in how I return rejection with unconditional love. May You be glorified through my interactions today. This is only possible in Your Name -- and for this I will praise Your Name Lord Jesus! AMEN!

Oh Holy Spirit, take our communal prayer as a sweet smelling incense before the Throne of Glory. May the Holy Name of Jesus be forever praised and uplifed in the lives of your people. We pray most genuinely that you will bring knowledge out of confusion, and fill our hearts with a love so mighty that it can overcome legalism. AMEN
