They can also be printed off of a computer for free (just the cost of paper and ink--20 pages per booklet). :-)

Pheeki,

Here is the link: http://www.ratzlaf.com/Truth%20About%20Truth%20for%20PDF.pdf

It is found on the downloads page at ratzlaf.com with these comments:

quote:

The Truth About Seventh-day Adventist "Truth", By Dale Ratzlaff. This book is designed for the Evangelical reader and points out what we believe to be the eight main problems with SDA doctrine and practice in the context of Christian unity. We are making this 44 page booklet available free of charge for those who wish do download it. Print it on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. The only restriction is that you do not sell it. This is a PDF file about 154 kb in size. It is also available in a nicely printed booklet form. Find this in the new LAM Bookstore.

There is also a Spanish version available for download, which is 25 pages: http://www.ratzlaf.com/S%20Truth%202%20column.pdf

There is also an updated version which is currently at the printer. It really is an improvement over the first one--which was very good. I don't know when it might be on the website--I'm assuming it will be.

Colleen, will the Redlands FAF be meeting this coming Friday night, May 27? If so, I may try to come, and plan to invite a couple of friends (one SDA, one not SDA) to come with me.

I would hope to contribute to the cause. I think every SDA home should have a copy of EGW's book, An Appeal to Mothers. That would be a top choice of EGW literature to give to all Adventists. Then they can see for themselves that everything wrong with anything and everything is because their nasty children who God hates is because their children are practicing secret vice. Disclaimer- No, a thousand times no, I do not believe God hates nasty little children. I was saying that scarcastically as EGW said that God hates bad little children.

Thanks, Colleen. Because it is is a holiday weekend, I am not sure my friends will be available to come with me, but I have invited them, and I definitely plan to come (if the eastbound traffic from Riverside doesn't prevent me! It is a challenging commute on Friday nights.)

Bob,

Your post brought to mind the endless hours I used to spend, in college, eastbound on the 91 freeway driving between Orange County (where I lived) and Riverside. I went to college at La Sierra and my then fiance lived close to campus so I made this drive just about every day. For a time, after graduation, I was working in Buena Park (Knott Ave. & 91F) and frequently would go straight from there to La Sierra to my fiance's house. This usually took 1.5-2 hours but has taken 3 before a couple of times on Friday afternoons/evenings. Trips through the canyon on those days were brutal. My customary foul mood when I would finally arrive after these trips convinced her that she needed to drive to my house on Friday evenings which only took her about 20-25 minutes.

We have been gone from Southern California for over 10 years but every time we make a trip to visit family the traffic seems just as bad if not worse than it did back then. Even Saturdays and Sundays aren't immune to tie-ups as I've learned within the last few years. Don't get me wrong, there are many good things to say about SoCal, and it will always be a part of me, but I could never imagine moving back again and re-adopting that lifestyle. Although even if we did decide that going back would be a great idea, I'm pretty sure that the exhorbitant real estate prices would quickly put an end to those considerations in short order.
