Brenttn, I sincerely hope you are still reading this board because I owe you a public apology. This has weighed heavily upon my mind for the past two months and I believe the Holy Spirit is prompting me to confess my sin and ask for forgiveness. Since it was a public sin I will also make a public confession.

Back in March you posted on FAF for the first time. Rather than welcoming you to the forum, I chose to bring up concerns regarding the teachings of a popular preacher that was mentioned. That was an inappropriate time and thread to have such a discussion. In addition, it was unloving and not Christ-like to dispense with a welcome in favor of a debate. This was rude and created discord. For all these things I am deeply sorry and repentant.

What I am most sorry about is that you have only posted once since that time. I believe I must take responsibility for creating a hostile environment and I can understand why you might not have an interest in posting following that exchange.

I would also like to apologize to others on that thread who I offended. I sincerely apologize without reservation or excuse and ask for your forgiveness.

Sincerely,
Chris Lee

Brenttn, I join Chris in passing along my apologies for not extending a warm welcome to you on that thread. I picked the wrong time to express the concerns I had, and I pray that you will feel welcome to join us again.

Sincerely,
Stan

"The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us accoring to our sins,
Nor rewarded us accoriding to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His longkindness toward those who fear Him.
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Just as a father has compsssion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him." Ps. 103:8-13

Brent, Chris and Stan, I am so privildged to come to this forum and see Christ. Thank you for being a part of my life and sharing with me. The more in love I become with my Redeemer, the more I realize His presence in the everyday encounters. Brent, I do not remember what Chris is talking about but I pray that you have been blessed by those on this site as I much as I have been.

Brent, I had forgotten what Chris and Stan are talking about--but I hope that you continue to lurk and will post again. I have found Chris and Stan to have integrity and to be truly committed to following Jesus, and I thank you both, Chris and Stan, for your concern and for having the courage to say what you believe the Holy Spirit was prompting you to say. I am grateful to both of you for your insight and compassion and for your commitment to Truth.

I am so thankful for the blessing all of you on this forum are to me. God is so good at bringing His children together in ways we would never be able to do on our own--but He knows we need each other, and I am grateful to Him for making us truly family through His Spirit. Thank you all for being part of my family in Jesus.

Love,
Colleen

It is so good to read what Chris and Stan have written. I do not remember what it is about, but it shows the growth of these men and how God is working in them and through them. It took courage to do what they did for all of us to read.
Brent, please come back and let us know how you are doing.
Diana
