I was reading this link about the Spirit of Prophecy, and was amazed by it. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy. Got it...that is what it says in Rev. 19:10. Isn't Jesus' tesitmony found in the Bible? I don't see how on earth EGW is present in the supporting texts they gave.

Then, the recommendations they give in items 1 and 2 seem to be wrong on so many levels that I can't wrap my brain around them all right now. My poor head hurts! I like how they used the word "however" after they described God's word as being infallible, etc. That just says to me that they think the Bible is nice and all, but EGW is where it is really at.

I am getting to know God better than I ever have, and I am so thankful for this opportunity. I am a nursing student, and am on break from school right now. I am also starting a new job in three weeks, and I know that God has given me this time to search and know Him better. He is so good!

They never seem to know what a contradiction is.

Saying that "the biblical canon" is closed and saying that EGW's writings "carry divine authority, both for godly living and for doctrine" is just one big contradiction, especially when they say that there are no "degrees in inspiration"!

Great point, Jeremy. Julie, I know you're right. God DOES give us time and direct our study when He knows we need it!

I think that is why, another "whoa" moment, God had me in the job I had last year at this time. I spent a lot of time studying the SDA doctrine. When I did start going to a church and studying the Bible there, what I learned from God and from you folks were what I was learning at church. Thank you God. You are awesome.
