The weekend of August 6 & 7 I am going to be in Riverside for a family reunion of my Mom's family. I am planning to fly out there on Thursday evening, August 4, late, rent a car and go to my oldest sister's house. This sister has been very supportive about my leaving the SDA church. She is down on God and religion as my Mom, her step mom, mistreated her and her brother when our Dad married my Mom. I was telling her that on Friday night I want to go into Redlands and meet with the FAF Bible study group there and that I have been in communication with them on the internet. OUT OF THE BLUE, my sister said, I want to go also. I am a former SDA also. I almost did not know what to say. But God saved the day and I said sure, that will be nice or something like that. This sister and I are very close and I love her dearly. She and I have processed a lot of what happened to her as a child. God has given me the wisdom to say the right things to her and the wisdom to know when to keep my mouth shut. So, please pray for my oldest sister. Just call her MLB. I am excited about her going to the FAF Bible study on that Friday evening in August. It was so unexpected for her to say she wanted to go also as she is a former SDA. God works in mysterious ways and each person is different.
Thank You God for hearing my prayers about my family. Thank you that MLB wants to go to the FAF Bible study in August with me. I am so happy about that. You are wonderful and awesome.

Diana,
That is exciting news. I hope to see you and your sister at FAF study if my schedule cooperates.

Diana, whatever lays in the past is in the past. It sounds like your sister knows you for who you really are and she is drawn to that. I pray that God will guide you in every word, and every reminiscence you and your sister share as you now walk forward together into the much more important family, the Family of God.

Belva,
I understand what lays in the past is in the past, but my sister needed help processing all her past so she would not feel bad about it any more and that is what is happening. I am so glad God chose me to help her. And I do look forward, even more so now, that she and I will walk forward together into our enlarged family, The Family of God. What a Family Reunion we will have in heaven. Thank you God, You are awesome.

Thank you Colleen.
God has been so good. I try not to preach at any of my family. This sister will listen to me as I talk about my walk with God and what God has done for me. Other than listening to her and helping her process her past we talk about all kinds of things. So I was elated when she said she was a former SDA and wanted to go to the FAF Bible study. I have been thanking God and praying for her, and for my other family members and that my son have his name taken off the SDA church books.
I know God hears. He is so awesome.

More to the story. I spoke to my sister tonight, telling her I wanted to attend Bob's church Sunday morning. This is the Bob from here. He attends my sister church. It is in Corona and my sister lives in Riverside. So she said she would come to church with me so we can do directly to the reunion after church. I did not invite her. I just said I wanted to attend the church service and then I would come back and get her. No big deal for me.
God sure works in mysterious ways. Please pray for her. Pray for me also, that I will always represent Jesus Christ to her.
God is always so awesome.
