Is there a verse in the Bible stating that, for some people, in the end it will be "as though they had never been"? I know EGW says that, but an Adventist friend told me this week that was in the Bible. I've asked her to show me--and I'm still waiting!
And regarding this question, what do you think will happen to people like the children in Sudan or Uganda who have never heard of Christ?

No, the Bible does not say that. In fact, Jesus Himself refutes EGW's false teaching about the "ignorant slaves" never being resurrected:

For those who might want to see the EGW quote, here it is:

"I saw that the slave-master would have to answer for the soul of his slave whom he has kept in ignorance; and all the sins of the slave will be visited upon the master. God cannot take the slave to heaven, who has been kept in ignorance and degradation, knowing nothing of God, or the Bible, fearing nothing but his master's lash, and not holding so elevated a position as his master's brute beasts. But he does the best thing for him that a compassionate God can do. He lets him be as though he had not been; while the master has to suffer the seven last plagues, and then come up in the second resurrection, and suffer the second, most awful death. Then the wrath of God will be appeased." (Spiritual Gifts, Volume 1, page 193, paragraph 1.)

Also notice that she says that God "does the best thing for him that a compassionate God can do"! She makes it sound like her god's hands are tied or something! That doesn't sound like an all-powerful/omnipotent sovereign God to me!

Agreed, Jeremy! She does make God sound puny!

Jan, Romans 1:18-20 says that the invisible qualities of God are revealed through all that has been made (creation) so all men are without excuse. Men, however, have suppressed the knowledge of God by their wickedness.

God can and does reveal Himself to people. If no one is there to tell them of Him, He can let them know Himself. There are actually a lot of stories coming out of Muslim countries of people being converted because they had literal visions of Jesus. I believe that when a person desires truth, God honors it. He can reveal Himself without our help if necessary. He does, however, give us the great honor of representing Him wherever He sends us.
