HEllO FAF,

I have a new prayer request. My mother is being served eviction papers this week. THe realtor has called and threatened her ans though she says she believes God will come through, her body is reacting adversely. She is unable to eat and has begun to pack up her belongings. SHe is struggling hard to hold onto her faith, yet my youngest brother is a walking time bomb. I think it is mainly guilt, seeing that he has had money to help but has chosen to do otherwise with his money. He really needs prayer. Deeply. I am not requesting this for my mother as much as I am for my brother. He is acting very angry and cruelly. He is slamming doors and is reacting very negatively towards everyone. (Much like my dad did when he was afraid) I am believing that the Lord will not only show up and help them, but He will prove to my brother that He is God. Now, normally, I would be home and would have given my last dime to help. But, alas, the Lord has moved me away from my family and the little I can send them is not nearly enough to cover the daamges accrued. My body is responding like it has in the past when my father would smoke an entire check up and I was left to help my family. I have been shaking and crying off and on. I have seen the mighty hand of the Lord and I know what He can do!! Nothing is too hard for Him!!!

But, we need prayer. Please help me persistently pursue the Lord in this matter. I don't know what else to do but pray.

Thank you, Marcell.

I know this is supposed to go in the prayer request area, but this needs the attention of all those that believe in the power of a personal relationship with God & prayer. I appreciate each of your private and public prayers.

I am very much so in love with Jesus, it's just that my brother was not raised with such conviction and I fear his fears and anger is pulling my Mother's spirit/trust down.

Thanks again,

Shontay

Dear Shontay, I will also pray.

Dear Father, please be close to Shontay and comfort her with Your presence. Please give her great wisdom and courage to trust You, to allow You be her strength, to allow You to show her how to release her brother and mother to You while still being supportive and prayerful.

Please confront her brother with Your own presence and his need of you, and please also intersect her mother's experience right now with Your assurance and with Your promise that You complete what You begin in us and that nothing can separate us from Your love.

Please provide for this family's material and emotional and spiritual needs, and thank you that Shontay is here among us and that we can support her and also be strengthened by her love for You.

In Jesus' name,

Amen

Shontay:

You and your family are in my prayers.

Dear Jesus: be so close to Shontay and her family that they can feel your presence. I pray that you will provide the financial means for Shontay's mother...and if not, provide the perfect answer in your perfect timing. You, oh God are awesome and we lift Shontay up to you.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Taybie, praying too. And may I offer something that the Lord has shown me through all this stuff with my mom's changes after my dad's death and then with her stroke. EVEN IF SHE IS EVICTED He is STILL God!

Don't let yourself discount the possibility that He can use even that...and I have no doubt the thought of what is happening is horrible, I can't imagine!... But even through this He can be working...He can use it as a way to move your mom to someplace better, and to get your brother out of his self-absolorption.

So I'm including in my prayers that if He is working on a better plan that every obstacle falls out of the way and your mother, and you, will have His peace.

Remind yourself over and over today Shontay, I have had to do this so many times! I long ago lost count of the number: God loves my mom more than I can imagine.

Father God, you can only keep us in perfect peace if our minds are stayed on you. Lord, I thank you that this is a time when Shontay and her mom are going to see your hand move for them. Help them Father today to remember that you are far bigger than this thing. Far far bigger. You have already been at work to provide for Shontay's mom an answer even long before she knew there was a problem. Lord if there is one individual who can intercede here, one person who has the connections and the authority to interven, I pray that even before the hour is up you will place them at the center of what is happening here. Grant Shontay's mom favor with this person. You are our provider! Thank you for what you are doing, Lord.
