I know this isn't the usual place for requests -but this is pretty urgent. One of the pastor's at the church where I work fell off a roof on Saturday and broke his back - they are saying he will be permanently paralyzed. He is one of our children's pastors - a wonderful young man with 3 very young children. The thing is, just last week, through a series of 'coincidences' I learned that his mother is SDA. He said he was concerned when she first joined them, but they seemed 'ok', although he'd seen the darker side of it too. We had just started dialoging about this two days before he fell. (two of our volunteers in the children's ministry are on a missions trip in Africa - and one of THEM also fell off a roof, the other has malaria) This feels like a strategic attack - the enemy coming against our kids - and I am really riled up. Please join me in praying for his complete healing - he is in surgery RIGHT NOW - 1:40pm CST - and they have so far reported spinal cord injury but little else.
Our church recently began developing a stategy to spiritually empower our little ones as ministers, prayer warriors and fully equipped messengers of the gospel. We have been under severe attack since.
I covet your prayers for this young man (Patrick) and his wife and 3 little ones.
(and if this situation is used to bring a new perspective to his mom about 'Sunday churches', that would be good too!)

Praying here as well Marcell. God's Sovereign will knows what is the very best for all of us.
We shall pray for healing, if it be God's will and all glory from this accident to go to God, with many turning their faces toward the Loving Father because of the circumstances surrounding this accident.

Soli Deo Gloria

Marecell,
A prayer for you and your pastors.
Father in Heaven, you who are the Great I AM, the Great Physician, I thank you for being our God. I thank you for Jesus and what He did that we might have eternal life.
Please be with these men, who have dedicated their lives to working for you. You know Satan, wants to hurt them, But we know that You have defeated Satan. Jesus did that at the cross. Lay your healing hands on these hurt men. May your name be glorified and honored by them. And what ever you will is for each of them, I know you will be glorified and honored. You love each of them and know the number of hairs on their heads. Be with their families at this time. Then there is the children's program. May they speak out strongly for you and others will see God in them and turn to you. As always God, You are awesome in all you do and say.

Update - Patrick (the Children's pastor) had surgery on Monday, it went better than expected. The docs are still saying that there is no way he will walk again. Our staff is praying for a miracle - either complete healing or the miracle of how God uses this to His Glory.
Patrick and his wife have a great attitude - they were praying for the children's coaches in Sunday School to have wisdom about how to tell the children. We have hundreds of children here each week - I know that doesn't make the enemy happy!! But we are not going to just step aside and let the enemy have them - no way.
Thanks for your prayers - I'll keep you informed of Patricks progress
