Finally, the people at R/S are actually sharing information with each other rather than eviscerating each other. On this thread they are sharing information on how to share Adventism with various people(s) even to the point of specializing depending on their backgrounds. I think you will find it interesting--I know I did. http://www.revivalsermons.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=687&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Perhaps I'm miopic in my views of SDA's, but it is almost scary to see how they plan it out, and prey on supposed weaknesses. Be careful what you say (and don't say). Use the fact that people want to teach their children about Jesus and the Bible, so get at them through their children... We have heard this all before, and here it goes again!

Belvalew,

I can't help but notice how there is so little discussion there about letting the Holy Spirit play a central role in convicting people. Talk of the Holy Spirit in any "heart" (as opposed to "head") sense seems to make fundamental Adventists very nervous. They immediately conjure up images of "speaking in tongues", etc. "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" makes them very uncomfortable.

I am reminded of the big denominational thrust since the 1980s to teach SDA pastors Neurolinguistic Programming. See for example:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=Neurolinguistic+Adventist&btnG=Search

In the non-SDA world this is another name for hypnosis. Instead of relying on the Holy Spirit it uses an "unholy spirit". So sad.
