This is to announce the first annual Former Adventist Fellowship Weekend: Date: February 17-19, 2006 Location: Trinity Church, Redlands, CA Proposed Agenda: Friday evening: --Former Adventist Fellowship (like we have every Friday, except with a bunch of you!) Saturday: --Class on inductive Bible study --Adventists from local area invited to special meeting featuring several testimonies--"Why we left." --Focus groups led by former Adventist pastors and others --Meeting featuring former Adventist pastors Sunday: --Breakfast together and then we will join Trinity Church for a great worship service! Lodging: Comfort Suites in Redlands--we will arrange for a block of rooms when we have a better idea of how many might be attending Transporatation: The closest airport is Ontario International, about 30 minutes away. Food: We are planning to include meals or snacks so we can eat and fellowship together all weekend. Registration form will be available soon on this website and in the September/October issue of Proclamation! magazine. | ||

Sounds great! I'll try to be there. Shontay - I'm afraid to fly, also! And I have been connected to the flying industry for over 30 years! My first husband was a Commercial Pilot, then in the Air Force as a pilot, then a Pilot for American Airlines. And I work for Boeing in the Commercial Airplane group as a Technical Designer in the Wire Design and Installation group! My son is an Engineer and also works at Boeing. Both my children fly all over as easily as they get in a car to go somewhere. I've flown many miles, but I hold the plane up the whole way by gripping the armrests! So, I'll probably drive to the FAF Weekend. My inlaws live in Menifee, so we might plan a vacation around that. It's a beautiful drive most of the way from Washington State. Yippee - I'll get to meet a lot of you soon, I hope. -tisha | ||

Tisha and Shontay, I am praying that you can overcome your fear of flying. Here is how I see fear: F - false E - expectations A - appearing R - real Father in Heaven, you know how these two ladies feel about flying. Please be close to them and get them over their fear. Let them know that you are keeping them tight in your awesome hands and that whether they are driving or flying, you are holding them and there is no need to fear. Thank you God of hearing my and their prayers. You are always so awesome. Diana ps: I will see you two in Redlands in February. I will be there on August 5 for a family reunion and will be going to the Bible study on Friday evening with an older sister. So I will have met some of the FAF people before Feb. I am so excited and pumped up by this. I am counting the days and minutes until I arrive in CA on August 4. | ||

Just have to let all of you know that today when I was talking to my sister, MLB, and I told her about the reunion weekend, she SAID SHE WANTED TO GO ALSO. Isn't God awesome in how He works in people's lives. She really enjoyed meeting all of you at the FAF Bible study in Aug and now she wants to go back again with me. I told her the program for the weekend and she still wants to go and may even go to church on Sunday with us. Thank you God for bringing MLB to you. Chris, I am looking forward to meeting you and your wife, if possible, when you come to Vegas. Please, everyone, continue praying for MLB, my sister. When I see how God has brought the both of us together and she has opened the door to her heart just a crack, I am awed by how God works. Diana |
