Greetings. Long time, no see. It's quite amazing what a transition having a new baby in the house really is when you're out of the habit.

So some of you may already be familiar with this but yesterday I finished listening to a dynamite presentation on Adventist beliefs by Tim Oliver of the Watchman Fellowship, a counter-cult evangelistic ministry. He systematically goes through several SDA doctrines as presented in their own publications (What Seventh-day Adventists Believe, and EGW books) and annihilates them with scripture and by pointing out all the contradictory statements. It is definitely worth listening to these 8 audio files which are all part of the same presentation. Some of them are quite short and others such as the Sabbath and IJ are longer. They're not presented in a very harsh way and may even be a good witnessing tool for some SDA's.

The files are listed along the top of the page. Along the left side of the page are the pages in the manual he refers to throughout:

This was eye-opening even for me. Hope it's helpful for you, as well.

I have listened to them before. They are pretty good.

Yes, that lack of sleep thing is something that's hard to get over the older you are. And you do seem to forget how exhausting it is. But it is all worth it.

Heretic, thanks for the reference to Think about Eternity. I went and downloaded and saved all the audo as MP3 files so I can listen to them on my IPOD.

The audio messages are very good especially because they are targeted at the so called "evangelical adventism". Tim Oliver showed how even the evangelical adventists' explanations for investigative judgment, or Sabbath or Ellen White, lead to the same conclusions of traditional adventism. He showed that there is no such thing as evangelical different than traditional adventism, but only adventism, and it's legalist doctrines
