I just got notice of an Afghan man who converted from Islam to Christianity 16 years ago. His family turned him in to the authorities and he was told that he would not die if he converted back to Islam. He refused to convert back to Islam. Let us all pray for him as a fellow Christian.
Go to Worldnetdaily to find out more about him, because my computer is not letting me copy and paste at this time.
God, Take care of this child of yours who is in danger of losing his life because he believes in you. Rescue him as you rescued Peter from the prison. May your name be honored and glorified in this situation.
You are always awesome.

Yes, Father, please help the Afghani leaders see that Islam is not worth defending, if the only way to obtain people's loyalty to it is to threaten to kill them.

That sure is sad for that man to be going through this. He is so brave. I will pray for him as well as the softening of the hearts of those who are in authority over him.

Susan, did you see the picture of that man? He had a big smile on his face--a genuine smile. When given the opportunity to recant he refused. You can just see that he is filled to the brim with the joy of the Lord. He will not turn aside from Jesus, no matter what, I can just sense it.

Condelizaza Rice was on the news about this man today. She contacted President Harzid and urged him to interveine on behalf of this man. She stressed that one main halmark of democracy is the freedom to practice ones religion, which appatently is in the Afgani constatutation. I have sure been keeping this man and the whole situtation in my prayers.

I am listening to Fox News right now and apparently just a bit ago the Afgani court has decided to declare the Christian man insane thus giving the court system a way to get him out of jail and free. WEven the Pope called President Karzid this past week urging the Afgani government do the right thing and let the man go free. Condalezza Rice also called on that mans behalf so I think President Karzid was getting a lot of international pressure to find a way that the man could be let off. You know that text about mother will turn against daughter, son against father, etc.? Well, trhat man is sure a fullfillment of that text as it was his own family are the ones who turned him in. If there ever gets a fund going to raise money so that man can leave to a more free country where he can practice his Christianity please post it on here so I can sent that months offering to that.

If it turns out that he has been released, I will be grateful, but what a price! Is claiming insanity the best they can do for him?

Fortunately, this story has a happy ending, as yesterday, the news broke that he was to be freed--even without being insane! Praise God, our prayers have been answered!

I'm grateful to learn that the Afgan Christian, Mr. Rahman, has been released. It was not without 'mental health' being used as an excuse though. And he's gone missing now. Looks like he still needs prayer!

Here's a recent news story about it:

The Italians are going to take him in. Bless his heart...it's a miracle he got away alive!
